I was there for 5am last year and having coming out of the store with my bags of bargain 'stuff' was pictured for the front page of the local paper.
Still get ribbed by colleagues for my 'bargains'One hundred years from now it won't matter what kind of car I drove, what kind of house I lived in, how much money I had in the bank, nor what my clothes looked like but the world may be a little better because, I was important in the life of a child.0 -
mummy will be there at 4am
but she works there0 -

This year I wasnt going to go, but then got given a fair amount to spend in vouchers, so may as well make use of them.
I would do it online, but they took my account away as i no longer meet their requirments:( (not actually that suprising!)
Does anyone else get up early and go???
Im pretty small and got a 3 year old, so like to get there so i dont miss out on the good stuff.:rotfl:

Is there ever actually anything in the Next sale that was full price in store pre-Christmas? Whenever I've been it seems as though they've brought in items I've never seen before and marked them up cheap. I'm really into fashion so know what was in the autumn/winter lines and what wasn't. I try to only buy the items I know were autumn/winter stock as they should be good quality. If I like them, remember seeing them previously and their cheap - then I buy them.0

i always do it, i find it fun, i prefer my smaller next store in town than our outlet as less people queue for the smaller store, i stocked up onloads and had about 5 massive bags worth for less than 200, best buy still is a 5 quid handbag which people admire and think it costs hundreds!#JusticeForGrenfell0

I don't even bother going in the Next sale as it's like a military operation and you get hearded (sp?) round the store like cattle and I am not really that fussed about getting a god awful shirt or something for £10 or whatever.
Worst & Most overrated sale in the world.
I am off the Selfridges & House of Fraser one tomorrow if anything is actually left!!"I'm not from around here, I have my own customs"
For confirmation: No, I'm not a 40 year old woman, I'm a 26 year old bloke!0 -
I was there at 9am (Fort Kinnaird Edinburgh.) ...but it had been open since 5 or 6am, I think. The staff were saying they'd never seen anything like it. There was a one-person-in, one-person-out system in operation and the queues for the tills were one hour long at 10am. (I can vouch for this personally.)
Some great stuff, though. Every last thing half price or less and people were staggering out with five or six of these huge bags each. Surprisingly it was easy enough to get to the racks though...presumably because most folk were standing in a till queue?
I spent £110, and was well satisfied with what I got. Might go back again in a couple of days when things get quieter. M&S tomorrow!Val.0 -

people choose to do that and moan when they queue at my work @ xmas0 -
You should go to the Next outlet shops for stuff throughout the year rather than going through all that crap at 5am
At the moment jeans are £5, womens tops are from £1, dresses are £5, all kids wear £2. If you are near an outlet its worth going there tomorrow - last sale they brought current sale stuff to my local outlet the same day as the main sale in the town centre store. It was also not so busy because everyone had gone to town not execting the outlet to have the current sale stock.0
