why dont you try option nearly all are 2syns ,the only ones that are higher are options pleasures,(3.5) options toffee(2.5) options white choc(2.5)

skinn- catt you alright mate ?
  • Thanks Jackie

Peachy, I can't abide them - they all taste really chemical and very thin to me. The Ovaltine Light Choc is lovely, really chocolatey, especially if I mix the powder with a teaspoon of milk before filling it up with water. It's only been out a year or so, though, so I can't find it in my slightly out-of-date books.

Ah well, I'm off to my pit - with a cup of tea! :D

    Goodnight all

Flat Eric - could you (poodles stands back to avoid any flying objects that might come her way) get up any earlier so you are a bit readier for food before you leave and force yourself to have something then? Or what about hardboiling some eggs the night before and taking them with you, I find an egg really does fill me up for ages. Or I also find that even if I don't fancy it to start with by the time it has cooked the smell of bacon gets to me and suddenly I can find it in myself to have some. So maybe a bacon sarnie. It would go away with a HEB but you get a lot of bang for your buck. As another poster mentioned you could take it with you as a BLT and still eat that at work. Yummy. Can you imagine the drooling of everyone at work? I do find it hard to eat as soon as I get up too. Do you have a microwave at work? What about some porridge/readybrek/oats so simple? You could add some fruit to it too. Again a HEB but really filling. But depends on how your work is set up for that kind of thing. I could have done it at my work although I am sure I would have got "looks".

Hello Thank you for your reply. I had ready brek this morning as I couldnt face another morning with my tummy rumbling.

I have some grapes plus my hi fi bar / muller light / shape lasting satisfaction yogurts to keep me going till lunchtime for my snacks.

I LOVE the bacon sarnie idea, i hadn' thought of that! So I might try and do that for tomorrow or Friday. I buy the Sainsburys Be Good to yourself bacon medalions which are free on a red day so would only have to use one HEB for my bread :D

i do have a microwave at work and it is always a fight at lunchtime when I want to cook my Heinz Mean Beanz. The Sweet Chilli, Italian, mexican and smoky bbq are all free on a green day so they make a filling lunch especially if you add the cheese as your HEA and last week I chopped up corridander, chilli and spring onions to have with my beans instead of bread - very tasty !

I think Im going to sit down this weekend and have a root through my old SW mags plus the recipe books I have bought and come up with some new ideas and menus.

I would add that if you get your paws on the Curry Feast cookbook, then the beef madras curry is very yummy and is free on red. My other made also made the onion bhajis (1 syn each) plus some tomato relish which was also free. It was very very tasty and although the beef madras takes 1 hour 30 mins, it is well worth it.

    Hello
not sure Im afraid but I do know that the Horlicks Extra Light Satchets of Malt chocolate drink are 2 sysn. The packet say less than 40 calories. My consultant says that on average 20 calories is 1 syn.

I have tried to cut down on my bread since joining SW but your ideas of bacon sarnies have got my mouth watering...

Anyway, Im looking at the HEB options for my bread in my food optimising book and if it says 2 slices of Allison Wholemeal Bread (400g) what do I do if the only Allison Wholemeal Bread I can find for Mr T to deliver is the 800g. Does that mean I can only have one slice? I am confused.....

I think thats right...only one slice. We were told we had to stick to the 400g loaf if we wanted 2 slices....

The only other one is the brown WW 400g and you can have 3 slices of that x
