poodlehorse wrote: »Right then, I have been missing in action for about a week now and have tried to catch up with the thread and got to page 74 and I am giving up, will maybe look back and read the lost posts but just jumping in again. What have I been up to? Well going very very off plan is the answer. Number of reasons. Had struggled to get right back on plan after DS birthday but went to WI last week adn the consultant was a bit off with me, she isnt' getting that many staying to class I don't think and I have only been able to stay once as DH works away for a month at a time and when he was home I either needed to get back to let him have the car or had to go and do a food shop or there would have been nothing left for the next day and DH was away with our only car. I live 10 miles away from class and it is on at 6.30 for 7 and class doesn't seem to stop much before 8 (actually have stayed twice when It hink about it.) Anyway I didn't think the guilt trip had got to me but it had and to make things worse I had phoned and left a message for her to say I wanted to take the previous week as a holiday (before the class) and yet she still charged me for the week, so I wasn't too happy about that either. I had left a message saying I was having a terrible time of it and would explain later and yet all I got was attitude really next time I saw her. She did this even when my 3 year old was with me and he needs to be in bed by 8 at the latest so I really couldn't stay. I got to class for 6.30 so that I could get there and back well before his bedtime so I would have had to hang around for the best part of half an hour before class even started. The once I took him before he was a total nightmare as he was tired and bored and hungry as he had refused to eat his tea and I didn't have time to wait the same happened last week. I jsut got really down about it and so I have spent the last week eating and trying to make a decision about my future in the class. I got a letter this morning from her, I assume she has sent it to everyone and it says that her District Manager is coming in a couple of weeks and she wants everyone to stay to support her. Well sod off I need to put my family first and I just can't manage, I told her that when I joined. DH isn't even in the country for a month at a time so there is no one else I can leave DS with at that time of night. My mum lives 10 miles in the opposite direction and doesn't drive so that would make us half an hour later even if he could stay with her but she can't look after him and my dad who has advanced Alzhiemers. Sorry about the rant but this is where my head has been. I am trying to do soemthing positive for myself and other people seem to be getting me down. So I have decided to ditch class and do what I did last year and do it myself. I only really made the decision for sure today and in the last week there has been wine, chocolate, nuts and cheese and so no doubt I have put it all back on LOL. I need to buy some scales, still haven't done that but I will start from tomorrow (when Tesco delivers my food) but I won't worry about weighing myself until I get scales anyway. I think it is sometimes counterproductive for me anyway, it isn't about the weight as how I feel and look. So that is the saga. Sorry for not being around but I just couldn't bear being on the thread while I was in the place I was. I am pathetic I know.
poodlehorse,
firstly, big hug to you and a big thhhhhhhrrrrrrrrrruuuuuuuuuppppppppp (thats a raspberry) to your consultant. i know what i'd be doing, i'd be going week their district manager is in and telling them what an a r s e they areand that they are not supportive or helpful at all. but thats me, bull in a china shop, lol.
secondly, well done you for deciding to do it by yourself, and as i'm sure many others will agree, we will all help you every bit we can. life's not easy on your own with kids, in fact its a bloomin hard job to do, and i for one will support you all i can.
lots of love and a big hug

welcome back poodlehorse :hello:0 -
oooh don't you just hate consultants like that! I've been lucky, though my current consultant has such a big class I don't feel an 'individual' like I used to in my first class but that doesn't worry me so much.0

Totally agree that I would be going to the district manager to report her - grumpy cow - she's supposed to support you not put you off. With consultants like that, who needs enemies.......
Can someone confirm about the Frylite comment made by poodlehorse? I must of missed something - is it not free or something? It's nice to be nutty but's more important to be nice0 -

Hi guys,
I've been lurking for the past week trying to read as much of the thread as I can before posting, but as it's my WI tonight, thought I'd introduce myself.
I've been doing SW since the end of Oct and have lost a stone and a half. I've struggled a bit since christmas as I've been on holiday and whatnot, but desperate to get back on track! I'm loving SW at the mo - I lost 8.5 pounds in the first week, and thought I'd lean on you guys for a bit to get going again (and you can use me too!)
I've been good all week, but fell apart Fri-Sun (as always), but I'll pop back on this evening to report back.
Nice to meet you all
