Parking Charge Notice - UKPS at Coventry Rugby Club Butts Arena

I guess I should add that if/when you do receive an LoC, you go through the usual motions:
Write a robust response to their LoC towards the end of the 30 day deadline.
State you are seeking debt advice as they then have to place a hold on any action for 30 days.
There are examples of LoC rebuttals/responses available in the forum/newbies thread.
My experience with Moorside is that usually a robust LoC response seems to put things on hold. They never got back to me after responding to their LoC months ago and nothing has been heard since. Not guaranteed of course and dependent on which parking firm is the claimant and how litigious the parking firm are. It might get passed to another solicitor in the future if Moorside don't follow through with an actual claim.2 -
It's UKPS, so from what I have read about them and the amount of debt letters from several companies over the last year, I feel they will keep trying. I'm not worried as I have plenty of evidence to show I did not park there.
My husband and I went down shortly after I got the first PCN to take photos. They show no entry signs and all signs give no indication that it is managed by UKPS or ANPR. The Rugby Club also use the word Fine! I complained to the club twice about the concerns and they were not interested and very rude. Signs there are still the same.
Thanks again for the additional information, will really help when the letters do arrive. This forum has been amazing.0 -
Please show any UKPS sign as I am collecting evidence on a Code of Practice evidence thread.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi Coupon-mad, nice to hear from you again.
Here are the pictures we took. As you can see the terms and conditions sign found was what appeared to be purposely hidden and far too small to see or read of you were driving in.

As you can see here terms and conditions were on the back of the sign behind this one. Which on previous pics posted I have included a close up version of the sign.

The notice shows the Vehicle entering the car park and leaving within approx. 9 minutes.
Entry Sign is small and not clear upon entry to the car park. Nor does any of the Tariff signs identify the car park is managed by a creditor and only states Coventry Rugby Club.
There is reference to terms and conditions on these tariff boards but their evidence is only a close up of these terms and conditions and does not state were they are located and are not placed on any of the tariff boards.
Tariff boards do not identify or make it clear that this is a car park Monitored by ANPR.
Also, on their tariff board they make a reference to Fines! I am not aware that private car parks can issue car park fines as this would suggest a crime has been committed?
Coventry Rugby Club advertise their parking fees online but show a completely different tariff board with different prices to that provided in evidence from UKPS. The board advertised online also has the terms - Parking Penalties, though this is not on the board provided in evidence.
I have also sent a complaint to the landowner.

I would say definitely below waist height. Took a while to find it when we went to the car park last year.
I am currently drafting another letter to the rugby club with all the identified problems but this time trying to send it to the CEO. Struggling to find a direct email but found some other emails of some Managers for the club. They ignored my last attempts last year via there general enquiries email and had rudeness from telephone calls.
I'm not worried about court but concerned about how many people this must be happening too here! It's not right!1 -
Just noticed the sign sent in evidence from UKPS is different 🤔

Was that sent with their appeal evidence? It makes more sense because it's not a permit car park. But that picture looks like a mock up template of a sign and isn't actual evidence from the site like your photos are.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes they sent that picture and these ones as their evidence. Tariffs completely different to the ones I took in person. How can the DVLA release my details when UKPS evidence clearly shows the signs do not make people aware it is monitored by ANPR or even UKPS. Like you said the sign they have included is not an actual photo! Its absurd!
