For £3.09 I get roughly 10 items and just adapt my menu to fit what I get. About once every 3 weeks suits me, often coinciding with a few specific bits I need to buy.
@joedenise says the same so not just my store
Sorry, I don't know what SF or RM stand for.
Sorry @Ainsty - M&S SF is Simply Food and RM is ready-made. By the way (BTW), Aldi do TGTG (Too Good to Go) too. I have been known to time my shop to coincide so I can vary my list depending on the bargains in the bagSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far
I also Reverse Meal Plan on that thread and grow much of our own premium price fruit and veg, joining in on the Grow your own thread
My new diary is here4 -
£135.19 across 3 supermarket shops and some Slimming World bars at group (that I can't eat yet because of my tooth lol), plus my bulk spend this month of £111.33 means I've horrifically spent £246.52 already!!!
I've averaged it out and it gives me about £15 a week for the last 3 weeks, plus about £8 for some veggies later this week if my tooth is feeling better.
New (correct) remaining amounts:
£64.31 total left in budget (until 28 Feb)
Rough breakdown aim:
Mon 5 Feb - Thu 8 Feb: £4.31
Fri 9 Feb - Thu 15 Feb: £20
Fri 16 Feb - Thu 22 Feb: £20
Fri 23 Feb - Wed 28 Feb: £20

Wow this thread is so full already! Thank you for running the thread @elsiepac. Can you please put me down for:
£85 per week x 4 weeks = £340.00 for Feb 1 – 29.
We've had a couple deliveries over the weekend. £26.40 for a fruit and veg box along with 2 dozen local eggs. £91.04 for a Tesco delivery that restocked us on meat and some freezer foods.
£117.44 / £340.00 spent. £222.56 remaining.
Our fridge is stacked with food right now so we won't really need anything until likely Friday. That will just be milk and butter I think. Good luck everyone and have a good week!5 -
£138 spent and will prob need a few fresh bits tomorrow
This might be a silly question but I can put tinned pineapple in cake cases with sponge mix on top and just cook like normal cake right? Got a tin in cupboard I'm trying to clear out ready for kitchen refit5 -

@Crazycatlady2 I was going to say pineapple upside down cake too like @C-J. I think the cake batter is slightly thicker/heavier than for a Victoria sponge type cake. Actually I've just realised I've got a tin of pineapple too - no idea when/why I bought it and I've got glacé cherries so that's our weekend pudding sorted.6

£36.40/350 already. Needed a few things so went to Aldi, stocked up on crisps for kids as they’re cheaper there but everything else seemed more expensive than tes/sains and got a couple of meals worth of stuff, fruit, bread and milk. Will need some more salad later in the week for packed lunches but nothing else til the big shop Sunday. Take care x
