Happy St Stephen's Day to all....we've never gone the Boxing Day route here so don't worry that you are on the wrong site!
Yesterday was a strange day for me...we only had about half our usual friends, neighbours and relatives in the morning and went to brother for dinner. Dinner for 15 was lovely as he is a good cook and it was nice for me not to have to cook...first Christmas day off since 1994. Not sure what time we came home as we were all very tired, but its only a few hundred yards away so no big deal.
Had some lovely presents....several books, including the complete Mary Berry which I have wanted for years and was too mean to buy, clothes, vouchers, chocs and bottles and a bonsai tree and some more Australian dollars!
I only had six adults and two children for roast lamb dinner to-day, DDIL in bed with flu and the rest headed off to Kerry and Cork, so peace on earth for real for a few days.
Had some friends visit this morning and they were very complimentary of my Dundee cake...it is delicious so thank you GrannyBroon for the recipe...top class!
Sorry to hear that some people are having a miserable time health wise, hopefully everyone will be back on top form in the near future.
Welcome to all newbies...you will like it here I am sure.
Enjoy the rest of Christmas

Hello Everyone
Wasn't expecting to be on here till new year, but celebrating boxing day round one of my best friend's houses. Playing daft games and having a laugh.
Had a good Christmas Day. Got lots of lovely presents including some ready for my new flat. Enjoying far too much food and alcohol both yesterday and today but I don't care.
Got lots on invites for the festive period reminding me exactly how many lovely friends I have. Not sure what I'm going to do between now and new year as I don't want to let anyone down.
Thinking a lot about 2008. It can't be any worse than this year, which let's face it has been rubbish what with the ex who ripped me off and three timed me. Then there was someone else who just used me
Hope everyone's having a great christmasComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Hi all - just popping in to thank you all for your kind wishes yesterday and hope you all had a lovely Christmas day. I'm sending masses of (((hugs))) to all the poorly ones - thinking of you. I will call back in tomorrow; I've just had a bath and think I will snuggle down and watch Ballet Shoes then get an early night. I still don't feel too good - I've never had anything like this before and DH is nagging me to see the doctor so I'll try and get an appointment tomorrow just to put his mind at rest. It's just a virus, I know, but apparently I looked worryingly near death on Christmas day and everyone was worried - me? I was too delirious to notice!
See you tomorrow and love to all.

Evening all
We've had a good couple of days, visitors yesterday, but none today, so nice & peaceful. We have hordes of visitors descending on us on Friday for a couple of days, then a few day's peace before I return to work.
Today I made 8 portions of Bubble & squeak & 2 pint's of roast veg soup.
Hugs Hester

Just about to settle down and watch TV. Have had a lovely day. Took DS to spend his Xmas money. Then went down to the beach. It was lovely here.
Off to work in the morning. Not many leftovers in our house, most of them got eaten yesterday. Wish I could stop eating chocolate!!!:D
Have a good night :A xxx0 -
Went to see "I am Legend" and it was really scary!!!
Cinema was near a discount village so went to have a look at Next as DD needs some new clothes for her new job.
Saw some nice skirts that should have been £37 each for £4 each and ended up getting five skirts for her for £17!!! Saved about £140!:j
hugs to anyone that is poorly and see you tomorrow."This site is addictive!"

Elona I have seen the previews of that. I wondered if it was too scary. I don't really *do* scary very well.
but it looked like it was good. What was the thing that was making the noise and did it have a happy ending?
Ivyleaf You may not need any chocolate for Easter now.
Hope you get a comfortable sleep. ByeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
