Morning all,
Glad to hear most of you enjoyed Christmas Day. Sorry that you've had a sickly one Kyle. <hugs> Well, you'll definately remember this one in years to come.Today OS, XDIL & DGS came up for lunch. Then XDIL & DGS left to go and visit her family. It's her home town and where we lived for 20 years before coming to this island. She txt me before and they got there safely. Thank goodness. Such an awful time atm to travel on the roads. They will be back on Sunday night.
DD heading off tomorrow and she'll be back late next week. So DH & I will be home alone. We went for a good walk this arv. It just started to rain as we got in so that was good timing. Watched the cricket then. Bye Bye India.
It's still cool here which has been great. Rain is forecast and a cyclone is brewing up north. Hopefully it will stay up there. I don't particularly want it down here.
This is cyclone season, but still.
Charlies Mum I love tennis on the Wii. Except it flares up my tennis elbow.I can't get the hang of baseball though. I always swing the wrong time.
Hope you all have a relaxing Boxing Day. ByeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -

Morning All
(((hugs))) for Kyle and your kids, also to anyone else under the weather.
Had a lovely day yesterday though spent a good hour in the morning setting up dd's ipod touch - kept breaking off to go and sort the turkey which was lovely by the way. Will definately get next years one from the same farm.
Dinner was lovely as was tea. Just had ham, eggs and bubble for breakfast - probably smoked salmon sandwhiches for tea and just general leftovers for dinner.
We were meant to be going ice skating in Hyde Park today but the kids have only just got up and dont fancy going - dont mind at all especially as Liverpool Street Station is shut at the moment. So today will be clearing up as house looks like a bomb has hit it, watch telly eating chocs and will take the dog for a long walk along the beach. Will probably be playing the wii as well - kids didnt ask for one as they knew they were out of stock and were so made up when they unwrapped it. I too Aussie cant do baseball - boxing wears me out!
So hope everyone has a lovely day, going annoy you lot now as I am really looking forward to America later this month, dont think about it much before Xmas...... so on that note better go now.

Morning all,
Don't post much but read everyday.
Had a fantastic relaxing day yesterday, which was lovely, as I was told on christmas eve that I am going to need surgery on my foot, so that put me in a bit of a downer.
Had some lovley presents including a Nintendo DS!!.
Plans for today are to get all the buffett bits done as the in-laws are coming round at 1pm. Then shall be chilling later with a few Baileys and a DVD.
Hope you all have a lovely day and hugs to those that are ill.

Just settling down to do some work. WHY oh why did I agree to prepare revision notes for Trusts in a year when (a) the new Charities Act has come into force, (b) there has been a major decision on trusts of the family home and (c) the person who prepared this last made a real hash of it? £350 does not compensate for working most of the day Xmas eve, Boxing Day and taking my computer and printer on 'holiday' to Scotland!!! At least it is also preparation for teaching in January, and it will speed up the preparation of my sets of notes for my own students.
We are trying to dry the clothes that were in the washing machine when it died. We don't have an outdoor washing line (rental new build) and they are too wet to hang in rooms with carpets. DH has rigged something up, and when they've dried a bit we'll start putting them through the drier a few at a time. The repair person can't come till 2 January so we can't leave them wet till then.
Looking on the bright side: we had already arranged to go up to MILs, so we'll take the pile of dirty washing with us! So I was spared having to try and pull the disabled child card on the repair people. He's not that bad now, really, and there are two launderettes in walking distance, but the washing does build up fast when they have wet bedding most mornings.
Looking forward to a bits and pieces lunch (good bread, cheese, ham, salady bits, the end of the smoked salmon, etc). Dinner will be leftover turkey, roast potatoes, carrots & stir-fried sprouts with walnuts. There's some bought trifle for pudding (though there are only three between four of us, not sure how that will pan out). DH and the children managed to demolish an entire xmas pud yesterday.Mortgage started on 22.5.09 : £129,600Overpayments to date: £3000June grocery challenge: 400/6000 -
Hi Y'all, I'm feeling a bit dozy today after too much rich food and a long mid-afternoon kip resulted in a fitful nights sleep, for me at least! Mrs MATH achieved gold medal status in the UK Yuletide Snorathon Challenge:D
It was a very odd kind of a day yesterday with the whole family going out to eat instead of the usual all round to MATH's with tummies growling and faces drooling! The MATHLETTS decided it didn't feel like Christmas and the food wasn't as nice but they still managed to choke vast quantities down LOL:rolleyes:
I don't escape all my feeding duties though, the masses all are decending today (including in-laws of live in partners and assorted step children of same that we never invited:rolleyes:) for one of my chuck it on the table buffets.
Mrs MATH and I are really looking forward to Ballet Shoes tonight on the TV with a bottle of cheap plonk and a tray of mixed nuts. Mrs MATH is a demon with the nut crackers:eek: she makes them sound like Automatic Rifle Fire LOL
Tomorrow we are heading off to sunny Derby to check out this new shopping centre they have knocked up and to add to the FOUR glasses someone thought would be a good pressy for a family of FIVE. We've only had them one day and we are already fed up with tossing a coin to see who gets to have a drink. LOL
Enjoy your day one and all

Ditto to Ballet Shoes. Second most looked forward programme of the season (Dr Who was the other, of course). But why is it on at 8.30? I'm sure my 6 year old would love it but there's no way she can stay up till 10ish.Mortgage started on 22.5.09 : £129,600Overpayments to date: £3000June grocery challenge: 400/6000

Hi everyone. Well. christmas day over for another year. Had a lovely day. Went to neighbours last night for a few drinks-(hic) had a great time, kids loved it too. Managed a lay in this morning. DD1 managed to break her new mirror this morning-now she is worried she'l have 7 years bad luck! Ah well, let's just hope she's wrong. I'm pleasantly surprised this month that I have managed to save £50 in the mortgage pig as I have been saving in one of those tin money boxes as well-just goes to show how much money we used to waste!!! DD2 is waiting for OH to get her some batteries for her coin sorter-so she can sort my money out in my mortgage pig:D (she does want to do it-honest) lol.
Suppose I had better go and put some clothes on.
Hope those who are ill get well soon, and those who are well don't get ill. Pleased so many of us had a good day yesterday. And for those who had a bad day... things can only get better!!GE 36 *MFD may 2043
