I have sent the £1000 again hoping it will generate my £100 email.  Also completed switch 12 Feb.  I’ll leave it there for a few days.
It worked! Email just received confirming 100 pounds being paid into the account.

My wife got a response to her secure message (asking the bank to confirm she had met the terms for the switch offer) yesterday afternoon, however all it did was quote the T&C's🙄...so another message sent politely asking them to do what was requested the first time.

The fact that the response was late Sunday afternoon makes me wonder if it was a Bot responding rather than a human, either way it was from "Emily".

However, the date on the letter from Co-op confirming the switch had completed was Monday 12th, if this date is then used as the starting date to count the 30 day period for doing the £1k pay in and 5 DC uses, it may be that some of us have jumped the gun by doing the next steps a few days early.
I had similar. That would also explain why £1k transferred in as part of the switch didn't appear to "count" for me.
My switch date was 9 Feb but letter said 12 Feb so would I be best to do the 1k money go round again as some of it was prior to 12th? Also should the debit card purchases be after the 12th?

    Thanks

I had the same switch date as you, did the 5 x DC payments on the 10th and haven't done any DC payments since (I think my switch complete letter was dated 13th). The DCs seem to count, but the £1k in that "in between" period doesn't (I got my £100 after recycling £1k like others on here).

My husband and I have had exactly the same experience as you.  Ann application we were advised switch would complete 9 Feb.  The online account showed the switch did complete on the 9 Feb (donor bank balance in there), we made 5 debit card transactions and paid in £1000, dd's already transferred - all criteria met but no £100 received.  Messaged via online banking and given same response as you - just quoting t&cs even though I'd pointed out that they were ambiguous on the dates criteria.  Sent another message requesting more explicit clarification and direct answers to our questions ( no response yet).  Meanwhile on checking the actual letter confirming the switch completing I noticed it was dated 12 Feb and received by us in the post on 15 Feb so I think you're right.  We moved too soon with meeting criteria.  Today transferred another £1000 to each of our accounts (and was about to make another 5 debit card transactions for each of us) and £100 each instantly paid!  They certainly make you work for these incentives!
  • So, I’m a serial switcher.  I have a ‘donor’ account set up with x2 direct debits and move it around as and when new banks offer up switching incentives.  Which I’ve mostly used up now (been doing it approx 5 years).

I was glad to see the Co-Op offer appear. So I applied for a new account 15/01, and gave details of the donor account to get switched.

At the end of the application I was surprised to see my estimated switch date (I wish I’d screengrabbed it) give as some date in early February.

Thought nothing more of it, and went about sorting the account with the rest of the incentive requirement, I.e paid in money, made over 5 debit card purchases, set up online banking etc.  I’m quite familiar with how to satisfy the bonus.

It’s now quite far past my best guess at when the switch date was, and my balance of the donor account is still sat with the original bank, so something is wrong.

Ive called up the Co-Op today (which takes approx 1 hour on hold), and the guy looked at my account and says he can’t see any request for a switch against my account.

    all quite frustrating.

so I’ll also have a little moan that after I paid in my £1k.  When I tried to move it back into the account I actually need that money in.  It didn’t move!  I had to call up the co-op (another 1 hour on hold) just to be able to release my fund back into an account of mine.

ive switched many many times, and this one has been by far the least simple.  And I’ve no idea now if I’ll actually be able to earn the bonus by the end of it all.
  • As you were given a switch date, you should get  the payment,. Did the donor account close as part of the switch?
Lots on here about the £1000 pay in being required twice to trigger the pay-out.

No my donor account is still up and running.  As I said, not seeing the balance switch over is what’s triggered me to chase this, thinking something is awry.  So likely the direct debits aren’t going to shift either.

What about payments in on the actual date of their letter confirming switch complete.  For example my switch confirmation letter was dated 12 Feb and I paid in several amounts on that day totalling £795.  I have today made 2 payments totalling £300.  So should this cover it?

    Thanks.

You'd think so, but I'm beginning to think that the bank systems are not recognising multiple payments in, even though the T&C's specifically allow this.

The £100 being paid so quickly after a person has paid the full £1k amount in makes me think the process is automated and not set up properly.

I will wait until tommorow to see if my £100 turns up.  If not I will pay in £1k which is not a problem but did not want it all stuck in there with the reports we have had about people having problems getting it back out.
