Hope you don't have to phone their fraud number. Tried to send the £100 bonus back to one of my other accounts which never arrived. A day later, got an email asking me to contact them. Was like the third degree, with them having to read out statements about fraud and you agreeing to their statements, why you are sending the money to that particular account, etc. Never known anything like it. The thing is I'd already sent money back to that account okay a few days before so it wasn't a new account number. I know they have to be vigilant but never had that level of scrutiny before.1

So, this morning my wife gets the email telling her she's qualified and been paid the £100 switch bonus, which hasn't yet shown in the account of course...
At least that proves that separate payin amounts to make the £1000 do work, just not as quickly as a £1k lump sum maybe, or maybe yesterday's CS person manually okayed payment, who knows?1 -
This is increasingly going to happen with banks covering their bums given how much they have to keep refunding to people giving their money away to scammers - I had similar, albeit less script, with Barclays after doing the same for their switch bonus. If you recall, there was a case last year where a couple were seeing the £££ from a scammer claiming they were making big money on investment in bitcoin and even had to send a photo with a handwritten note saying they were not being scammed - obviously they were but they were greedy and lost £86k - without this level of self preservation, the banks would have had to refund thisSun-Is-Fun said:Hope you don't have to phone their fraud number. People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

If you do decide to switch again and leave the savings account open, please do update on here if you have any problems. Tia.DJSINGH said:Would it be OK to switch the Coop account away but leave the Online Saver with £25 in (waiting for the £50 bonus). Or do we have to keep the main account?1 -
I've been transferring £95 back once every day. So far, so good!harz99 said:My wife received a further reply via secure message...
"Thank you for your message, I have checked your account and can see you have qualified for the incentive, the bonus will be paid within 40 days of the switch completion. Thanks Sharon!
So, it looks as though £100 might be coming soon...
Now just need to extract some money back to where it should be without triggering a fraud alert...1 -
Seems to have done the trick. Email today saying £100 paid in, although its not there yet!MACKEM99 said:What about payments in on the actual date of their letter confirming switch complete. For example my switch confirmation letter was dated 12 Feb and I paid in several amounts on that day totalling £795. I have today made 2 payments totalling £300. So should this cover it?
Thanks.

Mine was the end of the next business day, but either way the fact you've got an email to confirm things means it should just be a matter of timeNasqueron said:

After reading the comments on here yesterday evening, I decided to re-do the £1k payment to my account in the hope that the £100 email will arrive.
Big mistake, because when I tried to transfer it back to my own account, it blocked the payment. Then I tried to call co-op and their stupid department was closed. I then called again this morning and had to listen to their stupid script for the umpteenth time (I've had multiple fraud checks, including for £1 payments) before finally getting the block removed.
30 mins later, I got the £100 email. but I must add that my partner whom had only done the £1k transfer once on weekend also got her email exactly at the same time as mine, so I don't think the £100 email is triggered via the £1k transfer, but it's more related to the bank sending out the £100 emails in batches.
