    The savings account I successfully applied for yesterday still does not show in my COOP online banking or in the app. Good job I am not desperate for it.

    Applied last night around 8pm but not had confirmation yet, are they usually a bit slow ?
    I applied two days ago and had a confirmation with a reference, then another confirmation later on with a different reference. But definitely only applied once. And no decision yet :/

    I applied at 11:20pm on 15 January. As an existing Co-op Bank account holder, I had to submit the application via the Adobe Acrobat Sign system. As yet I have only received two instant, automatically generated email acknowledgements from Adobe, but nothing from the Co-op themselves.

    I suspect the Sign process is an additional stage that may result in the application procedure being somewhat less automated than is usually the case.

    Just. applied and received an email just now saying completing final checks. Hopefully this is a yes from them!
  • I've had my (preliminary) acceptance e-mail, just see what happens next. Wait on that and then open a saver.
  • Can someone confirm whether they REQUIRE a debit card number from the account being switched from - or as in most incentive offers in the past, just ask whether you have one (to which you can say 'No'). This was the case with the Barclays incentive ....

    I want to use my Barclays account as the donor, but am currently in France and the Barclays debit card will be sitting on my doormat at home!

    Ah thanks! The last time I needed to something similar (with a Santander credit card....for a balance transfer) the app only displayed the last four digits with the rest starred out ..... If this displays the whole number that will work .... thanks again!

    Will check when my phone returns from it's run.... being carried by OH....!!

    Update to above.  Facebook chat with Co-op said it didn't matter which bank account I entered on the application form.  I continued application putting my main account in and then got to a page where I was asked if I wanted to switch.  Said Yes. Do you want to switch this account?  Said No.  Then able to enter details of Barclays account.  All went through and now awaiting confirmation of acceptance.  Fingers crossed.
    that is what i have just done too, put my main (longest) account first and then the account i want to switch on the next part (nationwide) so fingers crossed, waiting on confirmation of acceptance.   going to see if i can offload my barclays account next to TSB as that needs direct debits, where coop was direct debits and/or standing orders.

  • where coop was direct debits and/or standing orders.

    That's unusual to allow just standing orders and they allow you to set them up after the switch, that's a big help in my book.
    I choose the rooms that I live in with care,
    The windows are small and the walls almost bare,
    There's only one bed and there's only one prayer;
    I listen all night for your step on the stair.
