Yay, I got a sewing machine and the Good Granny Cookbook. I expected the cookbook but the sewing machine was a lovely surprise. Did anyone else get OS pressies?

Hi there
I got the new jamie oliver cookbook/growing veg book and a mandolin..both from my brother... he knows me well.. i adore cook books, but for the last 6 months have banned myself from those and cookery mags as i have far to many lol, and i cook everything from scratch so the mandolin is a "woohoo" gift

And hubby is putting my xmas money from him in a sealed tin (as i don't need or want anything at the moment) and then he is going to add to it through out 2008 and on the 1st Dec i can open it up and use it for anything i want .... which i love the idea of...-6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
Not a Christmas present but for my birthday (Boxing Day) I've been given a Silver Laced Wynadote cockerel to go with the four chickens I already have:j I live in the middle of nowhere so no near neighbours to worry about - and all the neighbours have chickens and cockerels anyway. He's beautiful.

My mother-in-law gave me a readers digest book on how to save money on everything, probably recycled from a charity shop but I don't mind as it is really a great pressy as I love to save money and she knows this. The in-laws are big money savers also and pick us up some great things from the charity shop she worls in. Also got a lovely thingy to put in my veg garden which says grown by a domestic goddess!0
