Are you thinking of moving home soon ?DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

@LadyWithAPlan I am not sure, it was certainly our plan, but I am still thinking about what I want long term, but probably and if so next spring at the earliest. Either way I will enjoy trying to propagate key plants along the way. I have read the discussion on @Watty1s diary with interest, but I have no close friends locally.
@Cherryfudge I did think that when I posted it, but I am hard work for new things (I bet @greenbee laughs reading that) and I am still outraged at the abominations that got passed off as Agatha Christie for example and didn't manage to make myself watch Rebecca, I still watch the original Hickson Marples and we got rid of the TV a while ago so it tends to be films on the iPlayer while cooking . New things I have liked? Rivals was better than I expected (although Taggy was completely wrong). I actually can't remember the last drama I watched before that. I generally like classics, 'drawing room rather than bedroom', and it upsets me when characters I like are killed off. My most watched film ever is probably the Fifth Element.
