So today was a bit more efficient . I got up on time and was out of the house on time and I remembered to take everything on my list, the bus even turned up on time 😳
DD2 was still ill today so I went over there. I normally get the train so just have to walk down to the station but she needed some shopping so I caught the bus into town then caught another bus to her place. We had a nice catch up and a cream bun and hot chocolate, I stayed for a couple of hours then went home.
DD bought a lovely dress that she wore to her Christmas party and she was going to sell it on vinted because she didn’t think she would wear it again but when she got it out of the wardrobe she noticed a loose thread and upon investigation we noticed that a whole row of sequins had come off the dress, this dress cost £70 from Next so I told her I would take it in and see if I could get her money back. We thought they would only give us a credit note because it was outside the return period but they gave her a full refund because it was faulty 🍾🥳🍾🥳 I also finally found some cute pjs for her so that’s all my Christmas presents done now thank god.
I came home and had a quick tidy round while my tea was cooking then ive just chilled all evening. Im staying at home all day tomorrow until around 4pm when I will have to leave to go to my doctors appointment to sort my steroids out. Hopefully the treatment plan from the consultant will have turned up by then but if not they should know what my next dose should be.
Im feeling very impatient for the end of the year. I really like Christmas but I just want this year to be over so I can start afresh in January, I don’t normally feel like this but I’ve got so much I want to do that I don’t feel like I can start until Christmas is out of the way. I think New Years day is going to see me making a start on some project or other ( unless I’m working ) . I have a nice painted desk in my little bedroom but I painted it with chalk paint and it’s hard to keep clean so this might be my first job. I need to sand it down and repaint it with satinwood, that room is going to be a craft space so I need the desk to be sorted. I’m just making plans and writing lists at the moment so I don’t forget anything. I also desperately want to replace my bathroom floor but I’m having a new sink installed at some point so I can’t do the floor until the sink is sorted in case it’s a different shape pedestal.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1207 -
Great result on the dress! Hope the appointments go well tomorrow.

I watched episode 1 of series 1 of Strike which I’ve actually already watched and I wasn’t sure if I wanted to carrry on watching it, I think I’ll wait until after Christmas and have another look. I was quite tired the night I watched it so maybe it was thatOriginal Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1202 -
Maybe they've had a lot like that do she didn't have to? I know when I worked in retail, sometimes we had a line of items with the same faults

Starting afresh.
You can do anything if you put your mind to it. x3 -
Well yesterday was nearly a disaster but luckily I woke up in time😀I woke up at 10 to find a message on my phone saying they had changed my appointment from 4.40pm to 10.50 that morning due to sickness at the surgery as I was still in bed there was no way I would get there on time so I phoned them and changed it to a phone appointment.
So I’ve now spoken to a doctor at the surgery and explained that I’ve seen the Rheumatologist and he has come up with a treatment plan which he was supposed to send to them but he hadn’t sent it 😡🙄😳 she was a bit reticent at first about prescribing my next dose but I told her I’d spoken to him and he had said they would sort out my prescription and that the next dose would normally be 12.5 mgs a day so she agreed to prescribe it thank god. She also said I should be reviewed every four weeks which they didn’t do last time, they just gave me the tablets and left me to it, so this time they are keeping an eye and I am going to be very proactive if I notice a return of symptoms, I will start my new dose on Saturday and see how it goes.
Today I had to get up really early to go for my scan, I got to the hospital at 7.40 had my scan then I went and found the lady doing the vaccines and had my Covid and flu jab and I was back out of the hospital by 8.30 😀I walked into town and picked up my prescription and a few bits of shopping then I walked down to the quay to meet my sister for coffee and a catch up, I had toasted chocolate banana bread with espresso butter and it was yummy 😍I will definitely be trying it again. We then walked back along the quay to our nearest bus stop and caught the bus home. My sister live up the roadfrom me so she just gets off a few stops before mine.
I was hungry again as it was lunch time by this time so I had an omelette and a cup of tea while I chilled out with a couple of YouTube videos. I was full of energy today though so decided today was the day to clean the living room window so that’s all sparkly and clean. I also had a quick hoover round while later on and I’m now going to go to bed because I’m knackered.
I was meeting DD2 tomorrow but she still doesn’t feel too good so we are meeting on Sunday instead mainly because she still has Christmas shopping to do 😳🙄 so tomorrow I’m having a day at home and will see what jobs I can get done. I might be too tired after today but will see. I do have DD2s presents to wrap so will do that at the very least. I’ve discovered I’m better at wrapping presents if I do it on my kitchen worktop so I can stand and I did each group of people on a separate day so I didn’t have to do it all at once. I would like to be the person who wraps as soon as the present is bought but it hasn’t happened yet 😀Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1209 -
Toasted chocolate banana bread with espresso butter sounds amazing!
I've contemplated wrapping gifts straight away but I'm fairly certain I'd then get a bit panicky because I wouldn't be able to judge whether I had things right without being able to look at what I'd bought nearer the time. Perhaps I ought to make myself do that just to prove I can trust my past self to make good judgements! (Or can I?)
You had a very productive time medically, it's great that they will give you the medication you need. And how wonderful that you can be full of energy again!I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

Hmmm I too would get confused about what I had bought so maybe I’ll stick with my way.Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1201
