I've hoovered the landing. Le puff. Le wheeze. It's not perfect but it's better than it was. And taking the hoover box upstairs has 'liberated' a little more LR floor. (Hoovers will eventually live in the cupboard under the stairs which is currently the Cupboard of Doom.)
I. Will. Turn. This. Hovel. Into. A. Haven. And think of the calories I'll be burning on the process. Slinky weigh day tomorrow. Le sweat. Le collapse slowly in a heap.....
Right. Coffee and lunch before the next Round.

Good afternoon, It is sunny but cold here today. I had a lazy start to the day as the last day off paid stuff for a couple of weeks.
My list for today
Get dressed
Feed the animals
Put the last of the festive decorations in the cupboard as they have been sitting in the living room for the last couple of weeks. DH has agreed to assist with me with this one during the week, as we need to sort the cupboard out.
Make the most of the dry weather and check and clear the guttering. Sleet started just as I got the ladder out so this will be added to next week.
2 loads of laundry, dry in the TD, or hang up to dry. Last load in the TD
Organise uni stuff for next week as lectures start again tomorrow
Help DD to groom her guinea pigs and clip their claws. Guinea pigs were not in the mood to co-operate so will try again during the week.
Check and water the plants.
HHI
Sort bags/clothes/lunches for tomorrow
Think that is everything that I need to tackle today. Hope everyone has a lovely Sunday.

Amalgamation of books revealed a still boxed birthday present from Pops. Owl ornament is now on the mantelpiece, and packaging has been binned / recycled as appropriate.
Going to read a few chapters before I do anything else.

Afternoon all,
Back from a lovely weekend away with DSiL and DBiL. Very relaxing, and some very interesting / useful discussions on retirement / work-life balances / managing budgets etc etc as we are all “of an age”. Food for thought, as long as I can keep my worklife in perspective over the coming weeks.
Another one here who struggled to get the milk website to do what I wanted, after the 1% milk was rudely withdrawn. I think I have managed it, but who knows. That website is a complete and utter mystery to me in how it works - or doesn’t.
I am currently flopped. The marmalade oranges have been shut in the utility room as I have no intention of dealing with them now and they were watching me accusingly in the kitchen. I need to sort put a couple of boxes that are cluttering up the landing, and finish my library book. Seems like a plan.8
