Can Santa not bring you a nice bento box ?Sealed pot challenge 822

Sorry @bargainhunter30 I missed your comment. No she doesn't yet. She works Saturday and Sunday and is so stressed out by it with A levels on top I genuinely think if I asked her for rent right now she'd quit the job 🫣. I have prepped her though and said her brother started contributing at 18 years old so when she gets to that she will have to help..... Her birthday is in July so we'll see where she's at job wise nearer the time.Bargainhunter30 said:Enjoy DFW. Try to put money and the cost at the back of your mind and focus on the pleasure it brings instead.
Does DD contribute to rent yet? May be an idea, help her to save, even if you return it to her when she needs it. Would help build you EF until she's ready for a big purchase.Emergency Fund- £717.771 -

Afternoon/ evening all, it feels like evening anyway even if it is just 4:20 😂. It's black outside pretty much.
I got up at 6:14 ... something in me said, DD is fast asleep and will miss her school trip. That voice was right. I went down to her and she was snoring gently and all snuggled up and I felt really bad waking her after such a late night but she was off on a school trip today! So she got up, begrudgingly, got dressed and I drove her to work. I am barely keeping my eyes open now as a result. DD is probably even more tired as apparently DP could hear her talking to friends till midnight 🤦🏻♀️ kids. She knew she had to be up in six hours and didn't seem to care.
Oh yesterday- that was brilliant! An orchestra in a cathedral, with a light show. Fab! I loved it, DD and DP seemed to as well but my gawd it was so late. It didn't start till nearly ten then finished at eleven...😴😴😴 We're all tired today as a result.
I managed to collect some free food from work that was going to be binned. Some veggie type meals so will cook those this evening and make some rice to go with it. Nice and easy. I'm assuming DD is eating out but she's not updated us yet. I'll make her a cheese toastie if she's hungry when she is back.
Shame I have to work tomorrow as I'm done for the week now energy wise. 🫣 Speaking of which I collected some herbal tea today made esp for me which may hopefully help with energy. Might not. But we'll hope it does eh. OH and big news. I have finally got an appointment with ent I've only waited about ten months for it. Appointment is in Jan. I'm not entirely sure if I need it, I think what the Dr was trying to diagnose me with isn't right, but I may as well go, I've waited long enough and perhaps they can help with some of the issue I've been having anyway. Need to bring that appointment into work to get the time off as it's during working hours.
I've dropped my secret Santa off and collected one for me. Also ticked off some little jobs needed doing this week at work so I can just chill out next week and take it easy(-er). I can't find my sad lamp anywhere and don't want to give in and buy a new one but I really think I need one in this dark gloomy weather.
Right those thoughts are so scattered, well done if you did read it and make any sense. I'm off to taste the tea and hope it tastes better than the tincture.Emergency Fund- £717.771 -
Do you ever look at sites like charity job or environment job? - sometimes there are some different types of job on there."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1

The tea tasted nicer than the tincture ☕
And we're just sat awaiting DD arrival back from London... hoping not much traffic, and hoping she enjoyed the theatre trip 😃.
@jwil I've never heard of those I'll look. I'm so old fashioned when it comes to this stuff. I find something and don't deviate or think to look elsewhere 🙈 I still prefer the old fashioned way of finding a job and going to the job centre and looking at bits of card with details on 🤣.Emergency Fund- £717.772 -

Home for the weekend 🙌🏻🎉
So tired.
DD and DP are going to the gym at 6 so I'm going to see if my energy picks up at all before I make any decisions on whether I'm joining them 🤣.
Work was busy busy. And we have our first Christmas social tomorrow. Thankfully majority vote of middle aged women took the meet from evening to afternoon meeting time 🤣🫣. So I think I'll be alright on that.
We have another Christmas outing booked for Sunday evening, Christmas film this time at the cinema...boy do I regret these bookings when they come round because I'm just so tired 🙈🫣.
Dinner is already on so just clearing up to do later which DP will help with I'm sure. I've had heart palpitations all day and I think it is down to tiredness but not sure.
Update - dinner is done and I'm staying home. Fancy an hour to myself.. I'll go to the gym tomorrow 😃 (promise).
Had a NSD today too ...need a few more of these 🫣.
