Nothing ventured and all that... Dare I say it but work is going ok at the moment because the two worst students I have have either been suspended or gone AWOL 🫣 so I don't mind if I don't get through to interviews.Emergency Fund goal - £717.77/1500

And a day off a week will give you a temporary break so you can catch up with some you time and some house stuff.
Good luck with the application, those students will come back eventually, or other similar ones so it would be lovely to be away from it for a while.
Sorry about the tax allowance, hadn't thought about dp not dh sorry

Morning all,
Thanks @beanielou @ladybird1106 @daisy_1571 @Bananabreadyum
🐞 Yes it would be helping students get work ready 😄
Daisy you're right they will all be back after Christmas. I have some mild relief I guess at the moment. I suspect one will be back this week in fact 😣.
I've got aqua aerobics today and then I need to do some washing and ironing it's piling up! I'm supposed to see my cousin today after her surgery but it's a two hour round trip 🙁 I don't think I'll have time because I have already pre-arranged to see my friend at 4 pm because it's her birthday 🎂. I'll have to message cousin and put her off. I feel awful though because she was looking forward to some company, but it's just too far to be able to do everything comfortably.
I'm hoping to eek out food we have in until Friday and then we'll be away for the weekend. I may order a shop to come on Sunday evening if I can get a slot so that we have food in for Monday.. otherwise I'll go when I finish work on Monday.
I heard from the lady who told me about the job this morning. I pinged her a message last night saying I'd applied and she's said she's really happy I've done so and I'll be high up in their list of applications. The job is external so no idea how many might apply.
I need to pop to the shops and find some birthday cards and wrapping paper for my friends present I've bought. And I might buy her a little cake 🎂 ...not much else planned today really (hopefully) so will have a little clean around and make sure I'm on top of housework. I was all set to pull my sicky tomorrow because of the high intensity of the day and my usual pains and exhaustion lasting all week. Now I'm thinking I should go in as sick leave doesn't look great for new jobs 🤔 I just know it will ruin my weekend if I go in though as my feet hurt so much after a Thursday.
Oh! I forgot to say, my friend is studying to be a physiotherapist at uni. I've messaged her, and asked for recommendations of a good physio and she's told me she graduates next year and would love some real life practice so is going to help me. I offered money but she's said no but I'm happy to pay if she changes her mind 😃! So perhaps this might put an end to the ongoing pain.Emergency Fund goal - £717.77/1500

New job sounds ideal for you. Keeping everything crossed.
And great getting some physio. I'm a huge fan of a good physio!Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!2 -
Love it when the universe delivers. Your friend gets to practice, you get treatment. A win all round. Job sounds interesting.Love 🐞Declutter 15/ 2026
