I feel SO relieved 😌 and can relax a little now and enjoy the run up to Christmas without thinking we'd be without most of our income come January. DP has saved all his team from redundancy too in him leaving as one had to go - which is him!
It also means a pay rise which we should start to see in January's pay I guess. And time to redo the budget a bit after that. Perhaps then we can bridge that gap from one month to the next 😁.
DP wages will go from £40k to £48k. He pays into a share matching scheme (which DP thought I could use as part of my pension) and his own pension, so once those have been taken away and tax etc I'm unsure what will be the take home pay. Hopefully enough to make the extra workload worth the while ☺️. He's also managed to negotiate being field based rather than office based so that if he needs to go into HQ then they will pay expenses rather than it coming from his pay. Which is good news.
I'm really happy, really relieved, thank you all for keeping my morale up over the last few weeks 😌♥️🎄.
Right I best go get ready for work- I had an awful night sleep last night it was too hot for me and I am so tired now 😴.
