Afternoon all,
@ladybird1106 thank you 🙏🏻 I've everything crossed too 😃
@MeandO thank you too, I'm hoping for an easy day tomorrow because today was off the scale crazy mad at work.
Good news on the EF. TCB paid out and I sent over to the EF this afternoon. I'm up to £687.77 now 😃 I'm certain if I do a few more surveys that will reach £700 this month!
I was working with special ed kids all day and I was so proud of them they worked so hard! We catered for around 150 people this afternoon so spent all morning cooking and baking and prepping, and they only started flagging around 3:30. But my goodness I'm done in now. I had awful dizziness around half eleven and had to sit down obviously had to carry on but I had to argue for my hours lunch today 😳 my argument was, I'm not paid enough I'm taking my hour and no less. 😁 Didn't particularly care how it went down either. Feeling a little better this evening.
At lunch I met one of the new starters I was with last week and the week before and she was in tears. She had had a bad day too it seemed. She told me I was the only one who'd shown her any kindness or compassion and understanding in the workplace and she was thinking of leaving ☹️ seems to be a bit of a running theme really with this. I couldn't say much as I am looking for another job myself so.... 😬. We swapped numbers though in case she doesn't come back.
Back home and I've had a cuppa which has perked me up a little. I'm rewatching the last stranger things series before the new one and DP got me a big bowl of warm water for my feet 🥰. I made some nice foot scrub so have bathed my poorly tired feet in it and am just chilling before I make dinner. Wish it were Friday already 😬🤣.Emergency Fund goal - £717.77/1500

Checked my mortgage account and I've sent a few small payments to the OP instead of EF earlier in the month 🫢 oops. The EF still stands at the figure above but and I sent the money I'd sent to OP to EF I'd have reached the £700 ah well. OP this month is £37.34!Emergency Fund goal - £717.77/1500

Morning all, @beanielou It was hard work. I've woken up with something pulled in my back 🙈 so I'm hopeful today is easier on me. I didn't sleep well last night so I'm tired today, I think I was overtired by bed and spent much of it having hot and cold flushes. Being a woman is hard work.
Taking some cup a soup in for lunch today and a roll. Something super easy and means I don't need to walk to find food (none on site today would have to walk up and down hills)..it will also be nice and warming rather than sandwiches which I've had all week.
So..... NSD??? I hope so! Yesterday was one too but I'm a bit lapse with them lately.
Absolutely pouring with rain here. Sounds soothing on the extension roof, I could curl up on the sofa with a blanket right now and sleep to that sound. If only!
Cashed out another fiver on TCB so when it hits I'll send it over to EF. Then I'll be even nearer to my goal. Have a good day all 😄Emergency Fund goal - £717.77/1500

Cor blimey is today dragging! Absolutely bored out of my mind, back twinging like crazy, and I'm hungry already. I'm going to do all my paperwork as I'm a week or so behind after a quick break. The lady who I swapped numbers with yesterday has messaged me to say she's leaving. I absolutely made the right decision not trying to side step into that other role. I think the extra money (as it was full time) would have made me feel stuck and unable to leave. I can see why five now since the beginning of term have quit or gone on long term sick. 😬
I've not heard from any of the jobs I applied for so I'm going to assume not lucky this time. Shame as one I applied for I really liked the look of, although it could have been too physically demanding with a bad foot (retail).
DP is forging ahead with his course he's started and is so full of enthusiasm it's great to see esp considering what's going on at work for him. Lots of people have reacted badly to the possibility of job loss and several just sticking heads in sand until they know either way and a few like DP who are going after the jobs and possibly promotions.
I can't even think what I've done to my back but it's so sore. I wonder if anyone would say anything if I got on the floor and started doing some stretching 😉 I feel like they ignore me pretty much anyway most the day so possibly not lol.... ibuprofen not touching it.Emergency Fund goal - £717.77/1500

Great to hear that DP is being proactive in response to possible redundancy. Hope your back gets better over the weekend

Thank you @ladybird1106 I hope so too it's incredibly painful and bad been spasming this afternoon. 😖 It helps walking around rather than just sitting to be honest.
NSD was had! Whoop!
Also received the TCB money so I've just transferred it out to the EF, that's now at £692.77 🙌🏻! I'll definitely reach my goal of £700 even if I need to use funds from my account. Might even aim for adding a bit more before December.
Work was ok I helped those who wanted to be helped, regardless of 'need' so it didn't go quite as slowly as usual.
Jobs for this weekend are shopping for paint, DP is excited to move down to the front room now 😄 so glad he loves that idea! He spends enough time in his office. Hopefully my back will be ok and I can help with the painting but if not I'll get DP to do it. Then we'll move one sofa out into the extension and move his desk /filing cabinet down. I have an empty cupboard in the garage that could be used in there too with some boxes in for paperwork, it would save on buying furniture for that room right now.
Everyone has voted for sausage, chips and beans for dinner 😆 no prizes for Michelen level food or imagination here I'm afraid 🫣🤣.

Sausage, chips and beans sounds like A-Star Comfort Food to me and exactly what is needed in the dreadful weather! 😉😊
