Don’t get me going on the maths, my DS is taking it for the the 7th year, it’s bloody barbaric - he’s a level 3 merit qualification, a 6 in English but because he’s an EHCP he has to keep redoing it whilst he’s at college.  Drives me mad and it’s in my ‘professional’ arena and there’s nothing I can do other than shout from the rooftops everytime people listen.

It's so frustrating isn't it @dawnybabes and seven years - poor thing. I had one last year also on their seventh year! They scraped a pass though in June and were so happy 😃....it was their last year at college too so I was super pleased for them!
  • My ISA money arrived this afternoon so I've rounded it up and sent it across to the EF and have a running total of £649.97 in there. I'm using survey money to top it up as and when it comes through, I'm hoping to reach £700 by December 🙂. It would be nice to be nearer to a £1000 than £500 by the start of 2026.

Curtain tracks should arrive shortly. I will pop to the shops tomorrow and get some paint for the front room in the hope we can start moving some rooms around in the next week or so. This might be a little bit of a stretch as I'm always so tired by the time I get home to do anything meaningful, but we've a few weekends left in November so DP and I can do it then. It's literally just a paint job and putting some curtains up too in there so should be easy.

Seitan,. broccoli and mixed veg stir fry tonight with some rice. I'll prep before the gym and cook when home. Might also use all the old fruit up in a fruit salad for pudding so the trip to the shops tomorrow can be a full shop. Right-o having a quiet hour before gym now....need to decompress someone talked my ear off this afternoon 🙈.

Love aqua aerobics.  Always seems fun.    Have not been for years.  Finding a gym with pool will be on the list in the future.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

It's great fun @watty1 and last night I wasn't the youngest one there which made a change 😅. The ladies (and couple of gents that go) are all a really nice bunch though and we tend to do that and then go to sauna or steam room after. Last night was super busy though so I didn't do my usual twenty minutes in those.

Cashed out £2.50 on TCB. The £2 bonus and 50p CB had tracked and confirmed already for the paint shop voucher I bought. I'm off to the gym soon then I will shower there if the showers aren't too busy so I can use their water and electric (hair dryer - not doing both together don't worry 🤣).
It's raining cats and dogs here but DD did a grand job of driving to school this morning in the rush hour traffic. Her friend passed her test yesterday so DD is keen to pass hers now too.
I need to do a shopping list and go to SM later too, and also put a few washes on. In fact I'll put first wash on before I go out, it can be ready to stick in the TD when I get back then ready for wash two. I've got into a good habit of saving all washing for two wash days, one weekend day, usually a Saturday and Wednesday my day off. Ditto for the shopping.

Right I will report back if I managed to make it to the shops to buy paint or not. And whether I get lucky with any more surveys (been good and checking them every day at the moment).
DP has sent something along to the person in charge of sending reports over to the consultation guys to say why his job is important....we are quietly hopeful he won't be made redundant but either way we know we'll have enough to survive the next few months so it will be fine. (She says trying to convince herself).
