Sounds like a nice day.
Glad your feeling more relaxed.

Afternoon all thanks for popping in @Baldybear I will try that with the tomatoes as we've barely had any sun here and I doubt they will turn in the greenhouse now. @Bananabreadyum I was feeling more relaxed this morning, nice late start as well and early finish 10-3. BUT omgoshhhhhhhhhh the noise levels today, I have the worst headache ever and much of it was because of tutors screaming at students who would not shut up. My lord, my head is pounding.
I have caught up with paperwork- yay me lol. I excused myself from the staff lunch room (after arriving and sitting in a corner and it was super quiet,) because 5 mins later about 10 others turned up and my head wanted to explode from the noise. I felt a bit rude leaving but I needed quiet. I went off to the library and a student found me insteadwanting my help on something, and he's such a sweetie I gave up my lunch and ran round campus looking for someone he needed and couldn't find. Anyway today is done. AND I learned a valuable lesson today, do not wear a wrap dress when it is blowing a gale outside
It is so cold here today not sure we will last much longer at home without the heating on!
DP has agreed to make dinner tonight, I need peace and quiet and hopefully my head will calm a bit.

I have been made aware that the student that gave me grief last week has been spoken to. His initial response to our complaints (not just mine but another staff member also had similar complaints) was to be stand offish and dispute them and make us out to be liars even though there was an entire classroom to back us up, but he eventually agreed to some boundaries- who knows what they are. The fact he was in a bad mood that day is absolutely no excuse and doesn't fly with me for the level of disrespect and disruption shown.
The education system astounds me sometimes. There are queues of people waiting to be a student and have been turned away. If you have a high enough EHCP then you seem to be put to the top of the list regardless of your behaviour, how often you don't turn up, the level of disrespect - I could go on. It will take them a whole year to get rid of this student because the council will keep coming back with - he needs to stay. I saw it with at least half a dozen students last year. And those students had a knock on effect to probably a hundred students overall, disrupting them, the noise levels and intimidating and in two instances bullying behaviour. I don't understand it at all. There are probably fifty students who want to actually learn to these few and they were refused a place.
The whole system drives me insane. Ugh rant over - I seriously need another job.MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. I've been on Indeed and it just keeps directing me to similar jobs to what I've already done or am in and I don't see the point in jumping ship to another job that could potentially turn out the same. Sigh... I will carry on. I am grateful I have a job but I am so drained after just one day and to think I've not even got to my worst day yet fills me with dread.
We've got a problem with our new oven too one of the doors keeps opening whilst it's on. It's driving us mad. I've emailed the seller but we've had it two months - although obviously not even had in use for a month yet.
DP is stropping about the kitchen. Perhaps I should have just done dinner (as usual ) because he just stomps about and stresses me with all the noise when he does do the odd dinner 🙄🙄😒.
Pouring with rain here and we have given in and put the heating on low 20°.... 🥶MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. Just caught up with your diary, so sorry re the DS and work situation, maybe add some things onto your vision board eg a happy harmonious and healthy family? A job that does not trigger you?
You are doing so well though in difficult circumstances
DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
