Buying a little piece of Middle England; Manifesting my way to mortgage free.

I hear you on the unbudging and climbing weight. It is tiresome ...
Fwiw, I suspect some of yours is stress related and heat related water retention, might disappear / drop back a bit after a few weeks of 'normal living', once you get to it.

It's a pain because I think I eat way better in my 40s than I ever did in my 20/30s and yet here we are, at least two stone overweight 😳 like ummm how did this happen.
So I've booked my first swim session for tomorrow morning. DD has decided she wants to get back to swimming too so I've offered to pay for her (even though she did offer I said no because her job is not guaranteed past summer hols). She swims really well unlike me 🫣 she's more likely to stick to it than me too. But if she's going then it will spur me on to want to go too. I hope. 😁
(Little break- the flooring guy called as I was typing)
THE EXTENSION IS FINISHED 🎉🎊🎉 woop woop!
The electrician just needs to come sign it all off and building control but we can move in! I'm holding off for another day though because I want to paint the skirting that's just been put on without furniture in the way. He's asked me to wait for the mastic and sealant to dry off around things before doing the rest of the painting (sills and skirting) so this time tomorrow I will be moving my furniture back in...I'm very very excited by this!! And the banging about from builders has stopped yay!
Okay back to day to day stuff. Not a nsd because of shopping earlier so decided to get the paint also for the skirting and some felt for furniture feet as well as accidentally buying a little bedside table (super cute and cheap in d*nelm £24 instead of £99.) I'm going to use it as a lamp table and I think it's the same shade as the kitchen so should tie in. I've now got two living areas and need to divvy up furniture between them. I'm praying we have more room in the tiny front room once we do this.
Did I say my TV upstairs died 😓 it's about 13 years old and not a smart one or anything just a tiny TV / dvd combo for days where I'm too exhausted to sit downstairs in the evening. I have £100 on a c*rrys card so might use this to go towards a new one but I will hold off for now as might need something else with that card. For now we will use laptop for streaming services.
Dinner tonight is yesterday's leftovers (spaghetti Bolognese) mixed with tin of sweetcorn and tin of red kidney bean in chilli sauce with chips and salad. Still between old kitchen and new oven so finding it easier to just do quick hob dinners. The new oven- ummmm- we can't figure it out properly 🫣 and don't properly know how to use it yet 🤣🙈.

Oh Awesome!! You can start to get back to some kind of normality again!!
Am I right in thinking that you only have the bathroom to do in the immediate future?
Well done for DD for offering to pay for swimming, bless her.Why not let her pay for half / every other session whilst she is working and being paid?

Oh and the next big job is the kitchen. We've two blank walls right now 🤣 and the old kitchen is in pieces with just a sink and hob left with tiny amount of storage. The delivery arrives tomorrow hopefully! And then we have a week to get It in before DP has to go back to work.MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. 😁🎊 I'm still happy this morning...I'm going to get DIY clothes on and paint the skirting and then get some furniture moved in today woop!
So I went to the leisure centre today.... 😳 Yes me who's not been anywhere near a gym or swimming pool for Probably a decade unless I was dropping off various children to after school clubs! I was going to go on my own but DP wants to get fit so he purchased a ticket same time as me, and DD also wanted to join obviously and wanted to come with with us first time on her own. It's the pool she learned to swim in and I have many memories there of the kids swimming whilst I sat with a book in the viewing area 🙈🤣. This time I got in! I did 6 turns up and down and so 12 laps ...not very much but that exhausted me tbh. I also used the steam room and sauna which was good because it broke up the swimming. I am quite tired now but also energised. It was nice to go early so that it was all done for the day 🤣.
Ik3a isn't coming till tomorrow grrr. I'd like to know when that changed as it was supposed to be today. But anyway we have enough to get on with. The oven isn't looking good it keeps tripping the electrics on one side and also the grill doesn't seem to work 🤦🏻♀️ we will give it a proper look at today and I will have to message the shop I bought it from if it's not working...it might be something we're doing.
Sofa is arriving today too so I am going to pop to shop and get a rug doctor hired to clean the ones that have been covered in builders dust plus the new one too.

Right we've figured the oven out..it was a bit complicated to say the least 🙈. You need to turn two knobs for the grill. One for the oven. No idea why the other one was tripping the electrics but it has just been put on again and seems fine now 🤔. I'm pleased as I cannot be bothered arguing for a refund and collection from supplier on it and having to bother finding another one.
Sun is out it's going to be a hot one again. Too hot for me 🥵 I didn't sleep well at all last night. Best crack on with the painting I guess I keep distracting myself 😆.MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06.
