I've moved the bed! Hoovered and have a shopping list. No wonder I have no order in my room- we have all the spare duvets and duvet covers/ sheets/ pillows. We also have bags of ski stuff never to be used so I'm going to try and sell it. Also everyone's spare winter clothes they didn't want in their room!! No wonder I was unable to keep order or tidy it properly.
I'm off to source some vacuum bags and some under sink storage and then I'll finish the job. It's already looking better though and flows better with the bed moved.

Good news on the dental costs. And hopefully you can sell all the ski stuff (maybe tell everyone that any clothes left in your room will be sold to fund the extension if they're not gone by Wednesday...).

I bought large vacuum bags 😂 I could fit myself inside it 🤦🏻‍♀️😆. They're huge. So I've used one for two duvets and two big dressing gowns but I will return the other two I bought 🫣😂.

I've moved some plants up to our bedroom as I've made some space for them. The living room is overflowing with plants right now so I've moved three big ones. I bought a few extra bits for the bedroom, like some cheap hooks to hang the towels on. DP has got a horrible habit of throwing his over the bannister and I hate it it looks so messy and it ruins the paint underneath as it's always damp! Let's see if I can convince him to use the hooks now.
I came home and sat in front of the fan for a bit. It's just too hot for me. There is nice weather and then there is just ridiculous heat where I can't do anything.
I've made a Dr appointment too to discuss the HRT again and have to wait over two weeks for that 🙄.
Dentist is on Weds I think. Then we have a kitchen planning appointment in big swedish shop Thur I think. I wanted to get some different options for the kitchen as although it's quite a big dining room, once you start adding cupboards for a kitchen it very quickly becomes quite small as there is only one good usable wall space, the other has a chimney breast in the middle and the other two walls are missing 😂. Nice and cheap though eh when you've only got a small space.

Right I suppose I've sat long enough I better go finish this job I started and find some dinner for everyone.

Lol good plan. Doubt they will care too much though I know what they're both like 😅.

DD has got herself a new job! Only a summer one at this point but excited for her as the other job is very hit and miss to shifts.

(I'm also not giving either child any pocket money this month what with two birthdays coming up and DS spending all his money on online game packs and vapes 🙄🙄🙄. )

Can reccomend Howdens for kitchens.  THey come to the house to measure & then you go into the showroom to see the design & then take it from there.
    Well done to DD.

Well done to DD.  And brave move on the no pocket money this month.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

Morning DFW, once my 2 had PT jobs i stopped giving them pocket money, basics were still paid for and i would buy them basic toiletries, fav chocolate bar/treat in the grocery shop and basic clothes/underwear/school uniform etc but refused to subsidise maccy d or expensive make up and designer clothes. At 16 my son also had a vape habit and wasted a lot of money on those online game packs, thankfully he has grown up and neither are a problem now. Keep the faith that he will ride through it! xx

Out of curiosity has the idiot ex actually booked and paid for the Egypt holiday that he has promised.

My friend had her kitchen done there and it's beautiful but it was way out of my price range 😱 although she did pay someone to fit it ... we're doing it ourselves as well as all the build works and plumbing so that's keeping costs down...I've had a quote from b n q and next is the i3ea one. We might try a couple more before deciding but the online tools I've used are suggesting similar prices all round. Thankfully way less than I thought.

I've told DD to come to me if she needs anything but we've got the first inflated mortgage payment this month so trying to hold money back for that as well as the take outs people always want on their birthday and cake ingredients etc....thats before the presents are even bought 😆 and I refuse to fund a vape habit for a 15 year old 😬.
