    Thanks @beanielou, @KajiKita, @slm6002, @MeandO ...I've officially broken up for summer 🌞 woop!
Last night we celebrated with a trip to our local pub, first time we've visited that one since moving - although I've been in before as two houses ago it was my local then too. DD met us there after she walked back from town and we ordered a Chinese, had a drink in the beer garden and collected Chinese and went home. Was a lovely evening and I was in bed passed out by 10:30 🤣🥂. So old and such a lightweight these days.
Anyway, the builders are in again today - the two young apprentices. DD has set her sights on one so I will be playing chaperone around the garden and assessing clothing choices before she ventures out there 🙄😆. There is a very cute looking one I did agree with her but he's two years older than her at 18 and she reminded me she was 16, 17 next month and I thought omg here we go.

I want to set some plans for goals over summer. As I've hit post meno now my energy, my health is not good like it used to be. I feel unfit, I feel fatter than ever and I'm struggling to breathe and really feeling old and fed up with it. I've not had asthma flare ups for years as I control it with natural methods. It's gone crazy bad over the last month or so. I feel there is a direct correlation since starting hrt but the side effects pamphlet don't suggest asthma as a side effect only anaphylaxis (am assuming maybe a mild reaction is maybe asthma?) anyway I am going to make a Dr appointment on Monday to discuss it. I've already cut my hrt dose from every day to every other day because of headaches. At this point I'm wondering if to come off and just deal with the hot flushes as they were the only side effects really I was getting from meno.

So I'm having trouble with my foot and knee, joints are hurting. And I've a long-standing issue with foot pain now. So running is off the cards. As is a lot of walking..I'm struggling to do 6000 nevermind the 10k plus I used to do every day! I am instead going to enquire at the local gym for prices and see how much a membership is. I will trial it over summer and see if I 1- use it,.2- use it enough to make it worthwhile, 3 - it helps. I think maybe some strength training might help. I do need to lose some weight though. My weight piles on my chest 🙄 which some may love. I hate it as my asthma is bad enough without feeling like I'm restricted from being crushed by excessive weight there every day....so need to diet. I hate diets ☹️....but I think I need to kickstart the weight loss somehow.

Other goals this summer - to sort out our floordrobe, and wardrobe and bedroom in general. It's a mess. Nothing has found a proper home yet.

Also would love to finish decorating the front room but currently it's stuffed with so many plants I don't think I'll be able to 😆 also too much furniture in there as we tried to make Space where the extension is going. So that might need to wait.
I want to do DS room when he leaves....it's really quite babyish and I'll give it a quick paint job I think to neutralise the red walls and blue walls and baby wallpaper 😆.

And that's about it aside from gardening. Nothing too strenuous. Can't do much else in the house as it's a total tip right now.

Today though, rest, relax and perhaps some washing as I've neglected it all week 😆.

Good plan to do sons room into a more grown up room.  Must be difficult as you don't want to make it seem like he no longer has a room in your house the minute the door is closed but equally it can't stay as a shrine gathering dust.  Are you asking him what colours he'd like so his dad cant say see she couldn't wait to get rid of you?

Good luck with the getting fitter too. I feel like that, I'd like to get 'fit for life' ie so I bend to cut my nails not so I can do a marathon.  I keep procrastinating 'tomorrow'.  Enjoy looking forward to all those lovely weeks off.

If all your joints etc are hurting would swimming be a gentler option for getting fitter? Maybe even aqua-aerobics?

I’ve had a really sore hip for a while now. The best thing is supposed to be collagen but that’s difficult when you’re not consuming meat etc. I’ve finally found a vegan, apparently human bio-identical, collagen supplement. It’s not cheap but it does seem to be helping quite a bit.

The asthma flaring up might be related to increased inflammation from stress (end of term, building works, what’s been going on with your son - that came across as very triggering for you, etc.), maybe? If it is then, lots of gentle, quiet rest (around the builders! 😂) hopefully will set you right in a week or two 😊 Do lots of grounding.

Hi @debtfreewannabe321 I didn’t want to read and run, I’m trying desperately to catch up with your diary as I know from your post on my diary you are going through it. I am only on page 246 so haven’t fully caught up yet, but have a big hug from me and I’ll post again when I’m up to date.  Big love.

We haven't been here long and it isn't DS style, (cartoon superhero type thing for a 6 year old rather than a 16 year old which he will be next month) so it was always on the cards to do it over anyway. I am also getting rid of his bed as he's broken it so will replace with something better.
Ditto on the fitter just for life rather than trying to run a marathon. I feel so unfit lately!

Swimming was my first option but the local pool recently closed down. So I am not sure where there is another that is within budget near to us? I can have a look though, it needs to be near enough for me to bother using it regularly.
Collagen was recommended by a friend who is using that for joint pain so I might have a look at that.
Asthma- Hmmm, I also think it may be triggers from everything going on as well as allergies and possibly the medication. It is hard to know what is the cause isn't it :disappointed: I keep second guessing everything and it is driving me mad.
I am so looking forward to my holiday, I need to sign a few household jobs off and just R&R....!

Oh you probably aren't up to the earth shattering news I had then quite yet *rolls eyes heavily at my idiot ex*.

I am really still quite irritated, sad, relieved, glad and every emotion in between ...am hoping I can settle my nerves and thoughts enough to maintain an equilibrium.

So the kids went off with their dad yesterday, came back and told me they were off to Egypt next year. Exidiot has never had a single interest in going there, it was I who would go on and on and on about wanting to visit the pyramids.......I felt sucker punched to be quite honest. Felt this was personal. I seriously need to get back on an even keel because my mind is going to all sorts of horrible places right now about him. Am trying to reason -perhaps new GF wanted to go, perhaps he has decided he also would love to go, perhaps I wasn't even a thought. But because of all else that has happened recently I feel personal attacks are happening on the sly. My son being stolen from under me (hence why he had no intention of ever paying that ski trip money - remember that palava?) now holidays to my bucket list / dream destination, not his. Ugh. Anyway. Yes. Irritated, upset and honestly at the moment I am willing to pack ds stuff up and pack him off so that I never have to cross paths with that idiot again (ex not ds). I am in - I hate him mode- I need to get out of this, it's no good for anyone. Especially me.

Today we went off to big orange DIY shop to see how much a kitchen might cost, we don't have a huge space to work with but bigger than what we currently use, and first mock up suggests less than £6k with appliances. Leaving £4k for either the downstairs loo room to be done or contingency for the other building works. It took my mind off yesterday and I am just going to focus on this for now.

And something positive to also come out of it, we have decided to book a holiday ourselves - although no where as expensive as Egypt as we can't afford it. :( but somewhere.....(not decided on destination yet )...
