I'm absolutely shattered this afternoon. Easy dinner of sausage, chips and beans I think. DP& DS had a sneaky mcd's anyway ...I refrained as 'trying to be good' 🥴😆, I had rice cakes with hummus and cucumber and an orange. It was so hot out today and we were in full sun de-weeding the driveway all morning 🫠 I feel like I've melted a hundred times.
DS went off to paint my work friends fence for her. He got half way round I think (she's got a big detached garden so lots of fence) and she paid him £40 for about 4/5 hours work and fed him! I thought that was okay considering he's only 15 😁 that will buy some stupid computer game no doubt for him or lots of junk food.
I filled a wheelbarrow full of weeds from the back garden and I've decided to do No Mow May so I've used the lawnmower and cut a path through the grass and left the rest to grow wild for now. We've a tonne of daisies so I didn't want to cut them all back anyway, I think they're lovely ❤️😊. So we've a path big enough for the wheelbarrow to get up (bout a metre wide) and all the way round the beds and it looks like it's purposefully wild now rather than neglected which is the look it had before cutting it 😆🤣. We've moved the lilac tree I bought to the front of the house and put it in a massive pot. And also a japonica (dug out of the bed that I planted some trees in) which has started sprouting lots of new shoots so that survived moving very well (considering I neglected it from around Oct - March 😒🙈.)

I've also caught up with washing and drying. Just have a basket of clothes to iron now and jobs are done for the week. I think Mon/Tuesday if I have time I will make a big bulk dinner of some sort- I'll see what's in- so that I have easy reheatable meals for Tuesday (DS has dentist until 6pm) and Wednesday (kids will be fending for themselves as DP is away with meetings and I am working). Otherwise it will be a case of - argh no food let's panic and get takeaway.

Hope everyone got to enjoy the lovely weather. It said 23° on our thermostat. No wonder I feel a bit tired!

I do no-mow most of the year on some bits of the garden (like Cheery Daff I try to get round to scything them in the autumn, but don't always manage it, so mow in the spring). As long as you make paths so the 'meadow' areas are clearly defined they work well. And I'm getting a lot more wildflowers this year, even in areas that I didn't put seed.

I don't think my garden warrants a scythe although funnily enough I found one in an old garden buried and the garden was smaller than this one...🤨😆...
It does look like it's supposed to be wild now and I think it will look lovely when left to grow a bit longer...it might become a long term feature. I'll see how it grows.

I've absolutely exhausted my body gardening 🥴 am thoroughly shattered to the bone. Sat in front of a warm blazing fire with a well deserved G&T 😁.

I've done the budget- again. Including all the snowball money, carpet loan, car loan etc we have around £800 spare ....so I've upped the MOP to the amount I was aiming for 👏🏻 £200 pm. That's 2/3 of the monthly interest roughly. And I've sent more money to the EF / holding account for other bits that I don't know what I want to use the Money for yet. I've also lowered my PM and upped things like health fund (which I use to buy supplements) doesn't make much difference where it's coming from but it's easier to track just what's being spent and where now.

If I'm not aching too much in the morning I will walk into work...I won't promise it though as I'm very achy right now 🤣

Morning all, sun is shining here again. I hope it lasts.
DD has an exam today, 3 hr Eng Lit -rather her than me :hushed:
I start at 10 so will leave relatively soon and walk in slowly. My foot is still holding up okay so want to try and get my steps up again (and more importantly it's my main form of exercise!)
I've made a quinoa avocado salad for lunch with lots of random bits in it passed off as salad  and i've eaten my overnight oats so I am hoping I am not craving sugar by lunchtime.....I need these HRT things to kick in as the hot flushes will once again start getting out of control now the sun and heat is out. I was up most of the night feeling too hot. And I was good with my diet all weekend. Even the pizza was HM and full of veg, I didn't put cheeze on and it was GF base.
If I can be bothered at lunch I will pop into town to have a look for a summer wardrobe for work- again just after a capsule wardrobe, light cotton tops (long ones though as I have lots of short ones but they're too tight and short for work) and some lighter cotton trousers too as the ones I have are great for winter but too heavy and hot for this weather. Trainers are my go to shoe at this point so as not to aggravate my bad heel so I need to find trousers that kinda hide them (they are all black though so they're not in your face trainers).

Dinner will be whatever I can rustle together later, we're all enjoying lighter dinners at the moment so maybe some pasta and salad.

DP should have been paid today. In the budget re-jig I have lowered home maintenance budget this month in favour of entertainment/ dining out being upped. I think we've spent enough on the house/garden lately and can have a month or two off. There is still enough in there to finish the bed we started (need compost and top soil) and also the greenhouse base (concrete) but that is about it. We also have a few concerts coming up in May/June I best check the dates as I can't remember when they are. We will need spending money there too. -Okay just cheked I think they are all June, so next month I will budget accordingly for those.

Right off for a walk in through the park to work  have a good day all.

No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Thanks LWAP I think they may already be kicking in. It was really hot today and I struggle with the heat now I carry a bit of extra weight. But even though I was hot I wasn't flushing like usual where I feel like ripping my human suit off 🫠😬. I walked into work then I also walked around town at lunch because it was nice out and also I didn't want to sit and listen to people moaning at work 🙈. The worst offender was in the lunch room today and it was just me and her so I made excuses and left. I ambled over to some charity shops just for a browse and got lucky! I have on my list to buy some work clothes for summer and didn't want to spend a lot. I don't wear the same clothes at work and home usually..I managed to find a pair of linen trousers from m&s -50p! Also a pair of 3/4 length ones too at the same price. No where to try them on but for that price I took a punt.
Both different sizes but whatever. I also picked up a cotton trader shirt with pockets in. £3.25...then on to another CS and I found something I've been trying to manifest for months now - a brand new coat (shower proof) with a hood, it's a nice light one to roll up and put in my bag out and about. Still has tags on for sixty quid and I paid £15 which I thought was a lot for CS, but they all seem to have gone up in price (was a f@t f@ce one). Quite happy with that haul for less than £20 I went back to work to finish the day.
I then had to walk home 🥵 and I literally looked like that when I reached the brow of the hill and still had twenty minutes to walk 😭, got my steps in for sure.

I've tried the clothes on, the jacket fit perfectly 👏🏻😁. The long linen trousers fit well, the shirt is sooooo long but it fits (like half way down my thighs? I'm not tall though so maybe why). Guess if I'm having a 'does my bum look big in this' feeling that's the one to wear 🤣 and the 3/4 length trousers were just a tad too tight. I might hold on to them for a bit otherwise I'll take back to CS. Quite happy with those spends today and saved myself a lot of money if I'd had to have bought them new. And I think I'd wear the linen trousers at home too so win win 😁👏🏻.

I've had a nice cold shower and am laid with my legs rested against the wall as they are achiiiing already and I'm only on Monday 😬. And I'm very aware I did around 20000 steps the last time I did the temp job I have on on Wednesday 😬.

Dinner will be something easy. I'm feeling very bloated and not sure if it's a side effect of the tablets or gel or maybe one of the supplements I am on. Could be the probiotic..I may switch to taking that in the evening and see if it clears up. If not then I'll guess it is the HRT. It's why I'm holding on to the too tight trousers as my tummy is much bigger than it usually is (and quite sore!)

Right it's gone five, how did that happen. Off to feed the family.

Well done on the CS finds

Great your hot flushes are diminishing

my first ostregen had me feeling bloated - hence me switching to the second (Ostregel)  (which my body didn’t absorb) so I am now on Lenzetto -(which works great) -  you just have to accept you need to give your body time to adjust to the new hormones / then every few months review it

I am now 2 weeks into my second testosterone and this one is feeling better already / and had no weird allergic reactions as yet (seeing cats this weekend so that may be the test!)
