I have seen garden designers describe three trees in a tiny London garden as ‘a woodland planting’ so 10 trees definitely counts 😊

I’m very jealous about the blue glazed pots! They sound lovely 😊

Hope you enjoy your friend’s company once you’ve had a breather 😊

Had a nice catch up with my friend. I forgot she hadn't seen my new house so we had a wander around and I showed her everything. She thought it was much more 'me' than my other one in terms of character and age of house and location (near shops 🤣).

She's also offered to host us in her home for a holiday but I'm not sure I could impose that much with four of us. But it's in the sun....and near a beach....and we can't afford a holiday this year 🤔. I said it was lovely of her to offer and I would speak to DP. ☺️

My other friend paid for my time yesterday so I will see what I have left at the end of the week and see if I can sweep some money over to savings.

Anyway movie and time to flake 😇

Ummm … you were only saying yesterday that DP’s bonus was less than expected and that meant you wouldn’t get your sun holiday you were hoping for … And now, today, The Universe steps up and gives you the option … and …. you turn it down?? 😳🤷‍♀️
Say yes. Have the holiday. I think you need it.
You can ‘pay it back’ in friendship to your friend or pay it forwards to others in some way, at some point in the future, but don’t turn The Universe down … yes? 😉😊

Haha You're right @KajiKita, and I DP is away till tomorrow but I said to friend thank you so kind and would love to, let me speak to DP...but her apartment is small, I don't think 4 of us would fit with her and her partner. Perhaps two of us at a push but not four so will see what options we have

I'm thinking it is more likely this could happen...I am a bit sad though as I've never been able to take the two younger ones away abroad before and this was going to be the year to do it. They're both getting to the age where they don't want to spend any time with me so I thought a nice holiday abroad before they totally say nah don't want to go would be nice. Maybe it wasn't meant to be though. Annoyed that their dad and his girlfriends have always taken them away whilst all my money has always gone into paying bills. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Ah well. I'm trying to remain upbeat about it and take the approach of, it is what it is and if it's meant to be it will.

Maybe friend would let you have it just for the four of you for a week?

Or, maybe it’s not meant to happen atm. Maybe there will be further opportunities, when there are grandchildren to include … 😉😊
