Don't stress. It's good that they have something to follow up on but it's obviously not something really nasty or you'd be going straight to a specialist! Relax, have faith in the process (hard for you I know, with your previous experience of the medical profession) and try to indulge in hope and self care until they see you.

The forecast for this weekend looks pretty good so maybe some fresh air and (gentle!) exercise will help you feel more yourself. I think Ladybird is right  and 'your body needs time to adjust to your new life, recuperate after moving home and being ill'. I would also mention the hugely triggering stress activating hassle you had in work as well. I think all of these are always harder to deal with as we get older / are already depleted.

As KK says, try not to stress about it. TBH the time to stress is when they tell you that they want you in at 6pm today/9am tomorrow. Or that the ambulance is on it's way.
  • Thanks KK I'm wondering if it's just iron deficiency again. I've had it many many times since teenage years. I think I have an issue absorbing it. My symptoms suggest it could be this. I'm just a bit frustrated that it delays any help for almost another month 🙄. I'm not allowing myself to think it's anything worse 🫣.

Anyhow now I've had the blood test I will start taking supplements again and see if they help with some of the symptoms. The tiredness is the worst and impacts on every day life. I'm ready for bed usually by around 2/3pm every day atm.

    ...

It was a NSD. I couldn't be bothered going to the shops 😆. Early night for me as I'm knackered. And have a headache looming.
Hopefully the weather stays good for the weekend 🤞🏻

Paid across some small OPs just surveys that have paid out and some cash back. I'll tally up over weekend and update sig.

I was advised to drink a small glass of orange juice when taking iron tablets as it helps with absorption by the pharmacist.

Can you see your results on your nhs app, mine are always there before I see the doctor.  Coeliacs have a whole list of stuff they can’t absorb  well, iron being one.  We supplement with vit d, B bits and iron daily - if I forget a dose I can tell.

  • It is a long time Beanie that's why I don't bother with them usually. This is standard for our practice sadly.
🐞 I was taking iron with vit c in it but I haven't taken it in a while to be honest. But I've spent so much money and time on researching supplements and I'm still not right it's why I just thought I will get checked as no amount of supplements are helping me atm.
Dawny I don't have an NHS app? I will see if I can download it now and see if it's on there!

  • I have the NHS app now! Didn't even know it was a thing thanks @dawnybabes love this community for information!
Everything is normal 🙏🏻 except hormones. I think I need a HRT chat..... That was the one that was flagged as abnormal. So nice to know as I can just relax now as I knew that was an issue anyway I have EVERY symptom of meno on their website!! Next step I guess is to get some info on the medical help I can get. At least I can stop buying supplements now that are doing absolutely nothing for me aside from draining my bank.
