Haha redo I will remember that one then. Last week she got rice stuck ๐คฃ๐๐๐ so that's a no to any small grains lol.
I've made her a tonne of soup so she's had a bowl of that for tonight. Some pain killers then bed for her I think!MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, ยฃ120,000. January 1st ยฃ118,267.06. Morning all, orthodontistย today and I've already had the reminder for next week and to allow two hours for brace fittings then..it should only take ten mins today though (an hour drive there and back again though!)ย
I want to spend an hour in the garden today. Sky is not as blue but the birds are singing joyfully so I will join them in a bit. I've found about 60 plant pots scattered around the garden. I should never have to buy another one again I reckon ๐. Every time I go out I find another thing to collect into a pile (our garden isn't that big either!)
The old dilapidated shed is beyond fixing. As we took down the wood pile the roof collapsed In as did one wall, it's completely rotten..I'll ask DP to disconnect the electric then start to take that down. We might even be able to give the wood away as one of the guys who collected the last lot was using it for all sorts of things. DP is wondering if he can fix the summer house up enough to use again as we've decided to use it to store all the garage stuff in (tools and paints etc) for now...we will use the other shed that we think is ok, for garden tools (still full of wood & spiders that one it's tiny though like 3x5 ft) and that way we will have an empty garage so we can start to properly measure up for plans for conversion for DS. We change our mind a lot but as we clearly spaces it's easier to see what each space should be used for. So that's why ๐.
The last payment for the small loan should go out very soon. Meaning we can start next month on a new budget and new plans for paying down the mortgage. I'd love to get around the ยฃ100k mark before our mortgage is due for renewal which will be 2027 (we're teetering on ยฃ116/117 now).... That would give us a great LTV rate I think. It will also coincide with maintenance being lowered so I think this is the best way to use it for now, knowing if we need the money we can just lower the OP in any month. Less than ยฃ99k seems like it's less overwhelming than ยฃ100k. Silly really but there we go ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธโบ๏ธ. My first goal is to get to ยฃ115k!
Hopefully a NSD but then it depends on how much pain DD is in ... She's decided to go to school this morning even though I said she can have the morning off. So that leaves a quiet house. I'll get up and get on then got some jobs to do before I collect her at 11.30. - including making some pancake mix ๐ฅ as I didn't do it yesterday and DS was upset ๐. Hope the birds are singing for you all and the sun is shining wherever you are!

I literally had just walked in from the nurse taking like 5 vials of blood too and was feeling a bit faint to DD telling me she was hungry and looking forward to pancakes. It's the first time she's shown interest in food in a week so I had to make it there and then in case the moment passed ๐. She ate five which she never does!ย
The orthodontist was late too we waited over 45 minutes for a five minute appointment... pretty much the same as I did in the Dr surgery...40 mins wait and five minutes in there ๐ this is why I do not bother with drs unless absolutely necessary and even then I've usually got to be cajoled into an appointment. What a wasted afternoon.ย
DP cut the grass and it looks much better for it! I went out to do a little and just felt overwhelmed and didn't know where to start and came back in. ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ
Anyway next lot of pancake mix coming up (for GF and Vegan they're pretty good!) I will be here all night I think!MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, ยฃ120,000. January 1st ยฃ118,267.06. I had pancakes this morning they very tasty, I did pancakes at the weekend too for 4 people me included it does take a while, but when everyone enjoys it, it feels like it is worth it!
I love lemon and sugar topping, sometimes I have the odd cinnamon and sugar topped one too and rolled up also!1 -
I am with you on the overwhelm, but mine is the other way, its the house, not the garden.ย I make myself do five minutes, grab a bucket and fill it with weeds, or move something into a sensible pile (the pots that you mention for example), just something small so that there is a bit of progress.ย ยMy mortgage free diary:ย https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Thereโs an Airfryer clip going round with American pancakes. (These work with GF not sure about no egg though) where they just pour a tablespoon ish amount onto baking paper and repeat till theyโve a stack of about 10 then switch the Airfryer on - ta-dah 10-15 mins later open the drawer to a lovely cooked stack of pancakes !ยSealed pot challenge 822

I will have to give this a go! The mixture holds quite well I use Besan flour as egg replacement โค๏ธMORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, ยฃ120,000. January 1st ยฃ118,267.06.
