  • Finished study- an hour of staring at the screen 😵‍💫however it is ready to pay out already! £15 for the hour, better than the day job. I already cashed out £12 today though so will have to wait for tomorrow to cash out. Will add to ready to assign once it has landed in my bank

Right off to find the kids some dinner, DP & I will have beans on toast after our meal out earlier!

  • Cashed out the £15. 👏🏻

DP is getting on with the painting. I've taken DS to the shops to get a new suit. He has ripped his trousers and was refusing to wear the other trousers he had (TBF they were ankle swingers and not very smart). So have bought him one larger suit jacket to what he's got already. And two pairs of trousers to mix and match. Also treated us to a scone and tea/ coffee whilst there as the scones were a freebie with the bot drink...however still Spendy. (About £120)
That's all I have to say about that.

I'm thinking about using all the survey money made the last few days to send straight to the CC where I've put the purchases.

I've been food shopping too and only spent £42 using my £20 off voucher 👏🏻 not sure it will last the whole week but even if I have to go again and spend another £50 it's a cheap week. If there is money left at the end of the week from the weekly food budget I might send that to CC too.

DP has booked a day out with DS for ski lessons 👏🏻☺️ they're both looking forward to it. This was the alternative to a couple of nights away in a city break. And DD and I will go shopping/cinema and lunch. Half term break and won't take the whole week up. The money ex sent over has paid for half of it so that was good and DP has forked out for the other half from his pocket money.

Ex has turned up on my doorstep today 🤔 he lives 150+ miles away so this is a surprise. He wanted to take the kids for lunch/ dinner and dog walk with his new gf. I was happy enough for them to go means dp and I can have what I bought in the YS fridge earlier- a mushroom stir fry with some noodles. There was only enough for two so that worked out well. Ex never does this though so am a bit baffled...

Right best go do some housework before the day is done and it's bedtime and I've achieved nothing (again).

That was lucky getting that £15.00 survey, I have had loads like that but been screened out of all of them! I hope you had a good day and have an enjoyable eveningXX

I've had technical issues with loads this last week so frustrating as I will be a good ten minutes into a big payer and it will just crash!
So I was thankful when I actually made it through these. Am sure I've already done the £15 one with them but they asked me again 🤷🏻‍♀️ I realised about twenty minutes into it that it was exactly the same questions I'd had before although the layout was different actually it was better this time so I carried on. 🤷🏻‍♀️🤣

  • Morning all, working at 10 today. Monday is a nice day so I don't usually have too many problems getting myself up and ready for work 🤣. However I hurt my foot yesterday. I've no clue how and not sure whether it's muscular or nerve as feels a bit like both but it was giving me grief in bed for ages before I finally dozed off. Hoping it's okay to walk on today.

The bushes that looked moth eaten on arrival are doing no better. I think I need to message them today. Although they were cheap by the other prices I found I'm not happy they look nearly dead. The ground wasn't frozen, we prepared it well and planted it as per instructions and watering regularly. I've planted many hedges before (used to volunteer with a gardening group locally for older people doing up community gardens and I'd be lumbered with the laborious heavy jobs lol lots of tree and hedge planting). So I don't think this is user error.....

Child benefit has landed. Banks all looking fine still.

Need to keep up with YNAB as so much goes out at the beginning of the month- bills and big spends on DIY etc. Don't want to have to sit there for hours in a week's time wondering what went wrong again 🤔🤣 so will do that this morning actually!
Also need to make sure DS has sent emails off to potential work experience companies as the deadline is Feb half term.

Right off to wake kids and do YNAB and my paperwork that i didn't get round to finishing on Fri (too knackered). A new potential job opening is coming up in my work place too....I will find out more on that before saying on here. It's more hours but way better pay.

I didn’t think you wanted more hours …? Or have I misunderstood?

Good luck with the foot and the bushes 😊

Absolutely right with my current job. I couldn't cope with much more than I'm doing esp if it's as difficult as I've already got. The other job is a different role and *looks* easier. That's why I want to find out more about what it entails. If easier and less time with students I could do more hours. But I'm not interested if it's similar to what I'm doing...I don't know the role yet I just know it's coming up very soon and will be offered internally first. That's why I can't say much more as I don't know yet 🤣 I know the lady currently doing the job and she's said it is full time. So probably 8:30-5 Mon to Fri and she's said it is approx £24k a year. Another term time job. But that's about all she's told me so far. So it would be another day and extra hours each day.

I'm becoming well aware that my DD is ever fast approaching 18 though and child benefit and maintenance for her will stop next July. I think I'm going to have to up my hours at some point to pay off this mortgage...just don't know if I want more hours in the workplace I'm in....I'm kind of keeping my eyes and ears open to things popping up all over at the moment. Also 2027 our low 2.4% interest rate finishes.....so these are all in the back of my mind. I'll find out more though...

Ah, that all makes sense. Methinks you need to rock your Vision Board with this need a little … 😉😊

  • I'm in bed with some sort of bug. Have been feeling something coming on since last week but I just carried on. After work yesterday I was asleep by 8 and awake lots in the night with cold shivers and pains randomly in my body. Lots of people at work were sick and I'd hoped to have missed it but nope 🤢 I've rung in sick and have tomorrow off anyway... hopefully will be better by Thursday as I hate lying in bed all day. Winter is rubbish....
