debtfreewannabe321 said:Oh and one more update before I go off to exercise- DP is getting a bonus! He wasn't sure he'd be entitled because he wasn't in the business when they had been agreed but his boss has said yes he will. So I think April time it should be here...we are going to use some for a well deserved holiday! Maybe abroad, maybe not we haven't priced anything up yet. It should be around £4k but then after tax.......£2880 (according to a calculator I found). So another month's salary really.0

Okay today I was scrabbling around for money. I found a Mr T voucher with £28.50 on. £20 cash. Borrowed £40 from wages and will pay it back tomorrow from CB.
Ended up spending slightly over £14- partially because I was adding it up going around Mr L and was taking into account the fact I had a 10% off voucher plus a couple of other vouchers which didn't work and partially because I couldn't help it I needed the few extra bits. So today's spends are £103 but I have messaged Mr L as till person said it's been broken all day and we should get a voucher or refund back via customer service....so we will see. Then I will have only overspent by around £7!
Got to make some hummus and dinner and some scones I promised everyone yet then I can rest. In between clothes washing and tidying.MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. Made lots of bits today and used up little bits here and there from my baking cupboard. Choc cookies, fruit scones and hummus as well as a creamy mushroom pasta (which I didn't like 🙈- the rest was good though). Cleared lots of space as I had little bits left of flour and sugar and other bits and didn't really know what to do with them all. Also DP totally over estimated how many chickpeas we would need for curry the other day so I've made two huge portions of hummus and frozen one. And I still have enough chickpeas left for a curry 🤣 I will be in charge of soaking chickpeas next time I think..I'm sure he must have put at least a kilo in to soak!MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. I must soak some chickpeas (I do vast quantities in one go and freeze them in batches). And possibly some carlin peas too as I seem to be out of those. And cook some lentils, as I'm out of those too. It makes life so much easier.1

My DH wouldn’t eat pulses if he could see them so I used to batch cook the Waitrose bag of dried pulses to mush in the pressure cooker then freeze in little portions and lobbed them into everything I ever made with a sauce,Sealed pot challenge 822
