  • I know the feeling I have money in my bank account but none of it belongs to me! Good luck getting to the first...crikey it is a long month! Have a good evening and I hope tomorrow is okay too 🏋️‍♀️🏋️‍♀️😊😊🍀🍀
🤣 Yes this is about right huh 🤣
And January went so quickly at first but the last week has lasted two months for me 🫣🤣

The dreaded Fri....and I'm not sure if I said but a tutor was escorted away the other day from THIS group I'm with today. He absolutely lost it probably because of the same behaviour I witnessed only a week or so before. So he won't be there today...so once again I'm not sure what tutor we have.

Good luck for today. Remember that you are not there to be their ‘vent stick’. If their behaviour becomes unreasonable, you can and should walk away. Use the Paddington Hard Stare along with all the nice things you do. I will be thinking of you x

  • Thanks KK I have knots in my stomach but I refuse to give in. I've faced bigger bullies than him. By the time I'm done with these sorts of jobs I will have resilience training like a jedi.
I've got the college number for security on speed dial now after another tutor expressed her concerns of these students carrying weapons.... 😐

  • I thought the storm wasn't supposed to hit until the weekend here but hey ....the universe obviously heard our plans of getting rid of the dilapidated summer house and went hey let's give them a hand 🤦🏻‍♀️
One roof down. And one archway that was beautiful (TBF this was on rocky ground after the last storm). We appear to live in a wind tunnel?!!

Sorry to hear of the damage, even if it was due to be taken down at some point soon.

Fingers crossed for today.  Maybe the student wont be in today

Oh goodness, sorry about the storm damage
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
  • Oh god what a day. Just a rant feel free to glaze over.

I have had a horrid day, not quite as bad as the other week but bad enough. These students are so hard to work with. They give nothing and take everything. They nearly made yet another tutor cry today. Same student that caused a tutor to be escorted away the other day and caused me to cry the other week. She went home early because she was shaken up. I witnessed it all and the attitude and the way he was talking to her was on par with how he spoke to me, only he wasn't as loud this time and it was just him from across the room rather than 3 of them surrounding her. I had taken the stance today of seeing where his mood was- it was a jack-the-lad mood of ' i managed to get rid of one, make one upset (me) let's see if we can make another one cry/ lose it' ABSOLUTELY unreal. Seriously. He kept repeating on loop out loud (very loudly) what had happened in the class the other day so I heard the whole argument, he even did voices- his and the tutors 🤔😯 and then the argument I had had with him. Hence why I ignored him for the most part. He did keep making the very loud shouting sounds that had triggered me the first time but it was across the room, totally ignorable. Even other students that usually tolerate him / or are just as bad behaved were looking at him as if to say, are you okay what the heck sort of thing? He broke into a classroom when he followed me to maths. Thankfully was thrown immediately out and didn't turn up for the second class. so I only had to put up with him for 3 hours today rather than 6 (there must be a god). However I had another student who had also broke into another classroom, locked the door with about 12 of them in there. Refused to let me in 🙄 and started throwing stuff around. Sigh. Is there a full moon? So anyway the door opened at one point, I went to go in and a student started shoving it shut and has hurt my foot and leg in the process. So I now have pain shooting up my leg from her bending my foot back so sharply.

    RANT OVER

I am on the verge of looking for a new job. I spoke to my manager today about my Tuesday group and I have told her I don't know how to handle him because he runs to grass me up every time I do my job, she said, we are working on getting him out of here so just ignore him and sit there and do nothing for three hours. Fine. I have permission to do that, that is exactly what I will do- I will meditate with my eyes open! Or perhaps just learn some more about wallpapering   Last night I felt so deflated and then on the group chat we have, I got a personal thank you for a job well done yesterday from a tutor and it kind of buoyed me on through today. I got two personal thank you's from other tutors too today so the people I work with understand the challenges and are grateful when we try. So they make me want to stay. I have been so unsupported by management before and other staff that I feel that alone is worth sticking it out for really. For now anyway.

Anyway I have been paid and not touched it for chips and fizzy drinks today I was good  I do need to go shopping at the weekend though. SO need to see where to steal money from for that.

DS1 has said they are pushing through a move but he won't believe it till he sees it, they have also said they may promote him to next job up because there is more postings for that job and he's ready for it. Being an army wife for 10 years, I have seen too many empty promises to believe it as has DS1 being army child -growing up listening to me complaining about it all....so we will see. I have said just to let me know when he knows. But I think DP and I will forge ahead with plans to convert garage once the ISA matures....

AND breathe.....YAY it's Friday afternoon! All my paperwork is done for the week. I made it. I am ready for the weekend!!
Plans are to sort that broken summer house out and go shopping and chill out. I am SO drained.
