I just had a quick look back at the beginning of your thread and you give your total income, but you don't mention if you are getting attendance allowance or carer's allowance or if your sister gets PIP? Sorry if you've already gone through all this and I missed it. Times are tough and you deserve any help you are eligible for. Turn2us Benefits Calculator
Thank you Cherryfudge - I don't qualify for carers allowance as my wage is higher than £135 PW. Sister does get lower amount of daily living pip.
On the debt side, I'm getting calls and emails from McLaren and Wescot. I did try to set up a lower amount with McLaren but they said as it's lower than 1% of what I owe I may get a default from the original lender - Marbles - who have already defaulted me? , Bamboo are passing me onto a specialist debt recovery unit and Totally Money and Clear score tell me my 'credit score' has gone up. You gotta smile 😁.

I've now set up my lower amount with McLaren and Wescot. No back and forth, I just set up a standing order with the new amount and emailed them to let them know. I think bamboo is the only one outstanding now, but could be wrong.
I've finished work for the day and am wrapped up with a fleece on the settee. Not only is it colder today, I've also got the sniffles and a headache. Hope it comes to nothing as I'm looking forward to my friend coming round on Friday. Haven't seen her for a good few weeks.

Have to say I'm feeling good about debt repayments at the moment (as much as you can be 🤔) All ticking along nicely with no contact from creditors.
I have however been letting the housework drift and so have a busy weekend planned  getting bits done.
Need to get someone out to remove some garden rubbish, then it's a minimal make over. Garden doesn't need much doing just need to make the effort and get out there to kill some weeds and tidy it up.
Daughter going away next week with friends. Gonna be strange here without her but I'm pleased she's going. She could do with some time away with friends, having just gained a promotion - I am so proud.

The carers allowance earnings limit has just changed to £195 a week so you might qualify now ?

Hope your daughter has a great holiday 😀😀

I still won't qualify but thanks for the info. Daughter had a fab holiday. Sister was round with me for most of the week. Next thing coming up for us is holiday for the whole family in Minehead at the end of June for a week. I can't wait.
Nice to have some sunshine here though.

It's been a while, I'm no good at keeping a diary but know I will be using it to look back on...
Daughter had a great holiday, lovely weather and Devon is a gorgeous part of the country.
Work going well. I've dropped a day now and take a little pension. Helps me to have some time to myself, as I struggle with this generally - always having to be available in my caring role.
Debts are rolling on. Two more defaulted and one going to default in August. That just leaves lendable. They write every month telling me what I need to pay to avoid a default. I've told them I'm in a dmp for all other debts. When they default I will start making payment.
For the first time in a long time I find myself with next to nothing until payday on Friday, not sure what's happened, just over-spending I suppose. Saying that we have just got home from our family holiday so that could have something to do with it.
I'm not moaning but boy, it's hot. My poor little bunny don't like it but I make him as comfortable as possible. I am currently sitting downstairs next to the open window and the breeze is so refreshing.
I'm thinking about what colour to paint my kitchen. It's medium sized and I'm thinking a light green maybe?

Nice to have the warm weather, for a while.  I've been enjoying it during the day but boy, at night 🥵.  I need to get out in the sun more to build up the Vit D.
Had a little trip to IKEA today, was unexpected and daughter drove - got me out and mobile for a few hours.
Need to book a dump run for Thursday when daughter off work. The back garden is taking shape so need to get rid of the !!!!!!. Next job is to put slate or pebbles down on the membrane which me and my sister put down. Then I want a bench out there under the window and some plants potted up and put about. Out the front needs weeding again 😠.
Pleased to say I've been approved by Dr to be signed up for weight management, so I've registered myself onto the program. Should hear something from them  September time 😀.
And the best news is my grandson will be down to see us at the end of August. I can't wait.

That sounds like progress in several directions! I hope having a day 'for yourself' is working out well: it definitely sounds as though you are being productive. How are you finding it?

Kitchen - did you paint it? We have a medium sage green which is relaxing. Units are cream. I think the only disadvantage is that it could do with some splashes of a warm colour for colder months.
I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Hi Cherryfudge thanks for your comment. My kitchen is currently white, with white tiles and white cupboards, hence the need for colour. I've always liked a light green or yellow for the kitchen. Will be getting paint next pay day.
I have to say now I've got a day for me, I am feeling better about things. Give it 18 months and I might look to drop another day - will depend on finances though.
Also need to get the shingle stuff for the garden next pay day.
