  • Oh bless you, that's awful. I have a bunny and like you with your cats, I sometimes only move so he gets his meals.
I took a big step and contacted all creditors today and said no more payments until Feb. I've had one response already which was rather nice and ok with my plan. I'm sure they won't all be as accommodating. DD/SO cancelled for all. Decided to go it alone and not use Stepchange, gives me more control, even when I think I can't cope, I know leaving things to someone else will drive me mad 😊.
  • First thing this morning was a phone call from ACI. I asked creditors not to phone, but I guess they haven't read the email I sent them 😟. I've re-set all SO to commence Feb 2026 to give me a chance of saving for a new car. Need something cheap but not too cheap that I'm fixing bits for the next two years. I really don't drive too much anymore but do need a little reliable motor.
Off to a concert in London on Saturday and staying over. We were going to see the Christmas lights and go to Camden market but now I've got to save up, we're going to come straight home. I find it difficult to walk about too much so pacing the streets of London is probably not the best idea 🙄.
  • Concert was excellent. Place was at capacity. I brought home a bug and it's still with me 😟.  Two more work days and then a week off 👍. I've not felt like Christmas shopping so as always am a last minute panicker. Don't know why I put so much pressure on myself but I guess we all do to some degree.
All creditors sorted for payments to recommence in February. I'm really going to save next year, every penny I can. Stick to my budget and get control of things 🤟
  • What a lovely peaceful Christmas that was and I'm pleased to say I haven't eaten too much. Decs will come down new years eve before the London fireworks go off. Back to work Friday. I am so ready to bring down my debts in 2026 😁
  • So glad you had a nice Christmas white bunny.

I hope your bug has gone. I've had one all Christmas break so far. So annoying. I've already de-christmassed 🙈😄.

I have pain in my foot so bad I had it x rayed convinced I'd damaged it. It wasn't fractured so I got in touch with my physio friend and she suggested some exercises on top of a few I was already doing. I stretch out the Achilles and arch basically and it's helped no end. I also wear a heel pad in my shoes which has eased the pain. I'm able to actually walk about 90% of the time now without limping which is great (still get odd bad day).

Hope 2026 is a good one for you. 🎊💖

Thank you debtfreewannabe321, hope you have a great 2026!
I also have something that goes in my shoe and does help. I also have a small bottle of frozen water which I roll my foot over. Takes a bit of getting used to but also helps.
I've been hearing from creditors. Most have confirmed me starting up payments from February. I have emailed others and whilst they acknowledge my situation they keep sending me the standard no reply emails about being overdue, you need to make a payment etc. I'm just hanging in there for another few weeks and off we go again.
Looking forward to seeing the grandson next week. Hope the weather is ok for it 🙂.
