It's been a sunny day here, bit nippy at times but I managed to get some washing on the line. Went over to my friend's place yesterday evening, had a really good time. I was uncertain whether to go or not but I'm glad I did. I have this feeling that I shouldn't be enjoying myself whilst I have all this money to pay back but I'm putting all that to the back of my mind, although I do keep getting phone calls from creditors and emails saying I should let them help me and to get in touch - no thank you 🤔.
Off to the office tomorrow 😭 - that's all I have to say on that subject.
Been busy indoors, all the ironing is done, washing up done and kitchen cleaned.i could have gone out for a walk today but that would have meant doing the ironing tomorrow when I get home and I know I wouldn't have done it .
Waiting on my daughter to get home from her dad's - 3 hour drive ahead of her.

Not the office 😖 my sympathies 😢
Does the ironing really need doing? I gave in, now I fold carefully and stack and have found once I put things on you can’t tell. The only thing I iron now is the odd blouse or dress, nothing else really needs it. Join me in my slovenly ways, you won’t regret it 😁
I’m glad you had a good time at your friends.

  • I hear you re the ironing but it was my daughter's work clothes. As she was out yesterday I said I'd do it for her. I haven't ironed anything for years and I'm not planning on doing it again.
Lovely marbles have told me they're applying breathing space to my account - I didn't ask for it but I guess they're not going to let me go easily 😂. And Cap1 have informed me I've missed a payment.
Office - at this time of year there is no one in as people cram the last of their leave into these two weeks. Grand total of 5 in there today, still that's it for me for a week.
  • Going to see your friends is essential right now. Especially if it involves low cost things like a coffee and a chat. My walks out with friends and chats over a cuppa are the best bits of the day.

  • Yes, we were close friends at school, life moved on, we lost touch but bumped into each other one day and that was that. Brings back good memories.
Working from home the rest of the week - yay.
Daughter brought a stinking cold back with her so she's poorly in bed - has a day off today which is lucky. I mean it's not the best way to spend time off from work but at least she can rest.
My lovely bunny is having a sleep - such a hard life.
  • One debt gone to in house collections, others offering help and nothing from others. Strange how they seem to work in different ways. No doubt they'll catch up with me soon.
Speaking to a friend and were going to do a car boot sale together. I've been going through stuff and have lots to sell, but now I've got to find somewhere for it to live until it goes to be sold. I must also do a dump run next week. April brings a new leave allowance for me so thinking of booking some time off to get the kitchen, bathroom and toilet painted.
  • Ooh, painting rooms is such a good thing to do. Always makes everything feel fresh and clean and new. Sadly I have acres of blown vinyl paper I have to remove before I can paint in most of my rooms. Enjoy!

  • First default received today, feel like I'm on my way. I'm hoping the others won't be far behind then I can get on and start paying but don't know if I should wait and kick it all off together or start payments as defaults arrive. In other news there's more changes at work only in terms of who I'll be working with - this is something that seems to happen frequently. Caring for my sister is taking up a bit of time at the moment with going to various appointments and juggling work in-between - i don't know how I do it sometimes but we find a way. I've also recently been to the drs and am waiting to be called for x-rays as Dr thinks I may have rheumatoid arthritis. My dad had it and it literally crippled him 🥺. It would explain other things like always feeling drained and my inflammation levels being up. I'm deficient in a few vitamins as well so more pills for that. But, I know things could be worse so I'm trying not to think about things too much, taking the pain killers when needed and just getting on with life 🤘
  • Hi @WhiteBunny I think you've done the right thing going on a DMP. I had no choice but to go on one years ago as my income vs expenditure was like yours, nothing left on the bone. Although the set up process was stressful and upsetting once it settled down it was a huge relief - as you must know if you have been on one before. It will allow you to set a budget with EF and other pots included so you can build up some funds.
Sorry to hear about your possible diagnosis. You can get supplements for inflammation, not sure if we are allowed to discuss things like that on here, but I bought my mum some as she also has the same as you. It helped somewhat in relieving some inflammation in her joints. DFW

Hi DFW, thanks for the info re supplements I'll have a look.
It's strange to think that I thought I was doing alright until I had the chance to move to a property better suited to my needs. I realised then that I had no money behind me because I was servicing the debt repayments to the tune of nearly £700 a month, yet had to find money to move which meant using every penny on the cards and even asking my sister which really hit me in the guts. Then of course high interest credit cards aren't easy at the best of times but when they're maxed out...😱. What's done is done and now I'm trying to sort it out whilst living and saving a bit.
I mentioned somewhere I received a default, it wasn't, it was a notice of default sums 🤭. But I am still receiving offers of help from some creditors, others are telling me I've missed payments and asking if everything is ok. I still have two irresponsible lending complaints out there as well.
