  • Nothing progressed with debts yet except for non payment of a couple of accounts and creditors contacting me about missed payments. I've also moved now, boy did that take some money too. I'm looking forward to when it all pans out and I know I'll be better off, especially with my dmp up and running. I'm not rushing into it though, having read other diaries/advice on the DFW board, I see it's best to build up an emergency fund which is certainly what I need.  Will also be going through things in terms of what I can sell etc.
  • I've calculated the amount I would have paid for all this credit and it's £710 that I won't be paying out over February. How on earth did I manage this every month - well obviously I didn't hence applying for another card, another loan... and so it goes on. Just glad I've realised and stopped all this now. All my cards and the two loans are high interest and whilst I was paying it off each month it worked. After a couple of months of minimum payments and then moving to an adapted property, it all went crazy. Still, I had to move so no regrets there - just pulling cash off the credit cards has done for me.
  • Sent an irresponsible lending letter to one creditor yesterday. Having read lots of information on these boards I don't believe I should have been given the last loan. I'll see what they say.
I was recently diagnosed with mixed anxiety and depressive disorder. I care for my sister who has complex needs, plus working, has taken its toll. I have tried to figure out what makes me apply for credit all the time - it's like an addiction. I can manage it all for a while but as soon as something happens and I can't pay the minimum I just shut down and it all goes to pot.  Hoping my counsellor will be able to help me.
This post is all over the place but trying to get it out there as a marker to progress from.
  • Irresponsible lending complaint to Bamboo sent today. Not sure what I'm expecting from them as a response really. They know I'm having difficulty and that I'll be in touch with my offer of payment in the future.
Lots of sorting to do in the house this evening and over the weekend. Will take my mind off things.

  • Busy day today, as expected. Finding things to sell or take to charity shop whilst sorting and have to say I'm pleased with myself. The place I've moved to has a lovely nature trail/park close by and so am going to make a point of going for a walk round there and fit doing that into a routine to get outside more. I'm good at shutting the door and just staying in thinking about stuff that doesn't do me any good.
Stopping for a break right now as am famished, then back to it.
  • Automated creditor contact continuing, I'm just letting it rumble on. Constantly tweaking the budget as I want to save to pay the car insurance in one go from October and not monthly.
Dr ringing on Monday regarding recent blood tests showing up some things - will probably explain why I'm feeling tired all the time.
  • I hope the tests come back ok. Having regular walks is a great idea.

  • Went to see Argyle, I found it good, funny in places, but more than that it was good to get out. As I'm a carer for my sister, I've been sent a link to get a card which allows for me to go free to the cinema, as long as I'm with her obviously. Never knew such a thing existed. We've planned a couple of others to see, Little Letters? and a King Kong & Godzilla one.
Busy day today, catching up on washing, more sorting - moving things from here to there then back again 😊.
Not sure what's happened with my bunny, all of a sudden he's taken to jumping up on the settee and nestling in. So sweet. Hope he's not trying to tell me something - he's eating and 'depositing' regularly so I'm sure he's just getting comfy in his new home.
Shopping tomorrow, couldn't be bothered yesterday. A list will be written, in fact I'm gonna do it now.
