We went out with ds yesterday…..the weather was dire so we ended up in Costco and then big shopping mall across the road from there. Just for a mooch and something to do 😂😂😂😂😂 I ended up spending over £200 😯🫣🥴 That included £35 membership which I split with ds. We certainly get our moneys worth for less than £18 a year each. Non of it was planned but everything would have been purchased at some point at a higher price. Dh saw some sketchers which he likes for £20 something and jeans for £10. I bought a massive piece of gammon for £29 and then it had £10 off that so a real bargain. I’ll take it to dds at Christmas….i do know she usually pays a ridiculous price at the butchers. They’re going away the day after we leave so don’t want any leftovers…I’ll bring whatever is left home with us. A big box of Ferrero Rocher for less than £10. I got my usual cheese which will be grated and frozen along with chicken and sausages. I bought a couple of Christmas presents too…..and a couple of others at M&S across the road.  I finally think I know what I’m getting folk for Christmas. I have cut back a lot over the years.
Mmmm….we had a chat about some things and there are decisions to be made over the next few weeks. Depending on the outcome of the first decision, it could mean lots of big changes…..there might be interesting times ahead…..or everything could just stay as it is….all depends on that first decision that is pretty much out of our hands…..

I went to the optician again this morning for another eye test. They’re changing one of the lense, which should hopefully sort them out. I pick them up a week on Friday. I could do without all the messing about tbh.
i visited my brother yesterday he’s been having a particularly tough time lately. He looked better than last time I’d seen him though. From there I went to big city, had my tea in M&S again then met some friends to watch Singing in the Rain. The show was great but it’s not my favourite theatre….its a bit like a circus ride withe the audience in a circle around the stage. I prefer a traditional stage with scenery. The ‘rain’ in which they sang was fantastic 👍and the singers and dancers were great.
I did buy a little something from The shop of the body which sells nice smelliest for the gks -30% off so I was quite happy.
Need to pay my cc in full later as it’s had a bit of a hammering lately.

Today will be to finish sorting my bedroom. Bedding is in the machine and I’m going to do a bit of ironing. Bathroom has been blitzed this morning…I’m on a roll👍. After the ironing all I need to do is Hoover everywhere and I think I’ve actually finished my pre Christmas cleaning blitz. It’s taken me since the begin of November but every drawer and nook and cranny has been attacked and sorted. I have got rid of some of my going out dresses.

I just want to finish a few bits and pieces tomorrow that I hadn’t planned to do but once I’d done everything else I hadn’t realised how bad my bookcase in the hall is. So I’ll take everything off, clean and put back tomorrow. The I think that’s it cleaning wise. Decorations inside are up….just the ones that go on the fences to do. It’s been too wet to venture out there.
I went to aqua aerobics with a friend on Thursday. There was a lot of jumping in this session and I was quite enjoying it. By the time I got home I couldn’t put my leg on the floor….my hip was just awful. Last time it was as bad as that I’d had a stress fracture in my pelvis after doing Zumba. I was going on a  Christmas dinner my singing group which I’d already paid for the following day. I literally couldn’t put any weight through my leg so I retrieved a pair of crutches which the hospital wouldn’t accept back after I’d had the spinal bleed several years ago, so I’d kept just in case. So I went to the meal and to see a Christmas choir sing in the evening on crutches. I managed to get around the house by hobbling yesterday but it’s lots better today. I should be going to a breakfast at The Ivy on Tuesday morning but have cancelled. It’s quite a walk from the  station. I couldn’t face sitting in A&E for hours as there’s nothing that can be done even if it is a fracture…it’s just a balance of rest and keeping moving. So that’s what I’m doing 🥴😀
One of my best friends is going in for a mastectomy tomorrow…..she’d missed mammograms when she was working, so when she retired in the summer phoned and asked for one. I’m so glad she did as it set biopsies etc in motion and they’ve found the early stages. I’m pleased she phoned and it just shows we shouldn’t ignore mammograms. It sounds as if they’ve found it early enough 🤞🤞
Credit card has been paid in full. I need to make a present list as I’ve no idea what I’ve got for folk. I think I’ve got bits for everyone but I need to make sure they’re all equal 😂 I know I need a bit extra for ds and Dh.
I’ve had a lovely long chat with my niece today. We’ve vowed to keep in touch regularly as we’re all terrible as a family and tend to meet at weddings and funerals, but when we do get together it’s as if it was only yesterday we saw each other.

Eek to your hip & sorry about your friend. One of my friends was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer on Friday.

Friend has had the op and doing ok. Not sure how long she will be in…..not long - maybe tomorrow. At one time you were in a long time after surgery like that.
My hip is a lot better….it’s still there but it’s nothing like it was on Friday.i had booked aqua tonight but I cancelled. No point aggravating it.
I had a survey from my spec. shop a few days ago. I gave it 4 stars, stating the staff were all lovely but I couldn’t see properly through the glasses. I had a phone call from the store manager today - full of apologies saying that shouldn’t have happened. I was due to collect them on Friday but he said they now had them in store and I could pick them up earlier if I wanted. I went this afternoon and I’ve usually sat and waited at least 10 minutes before being called. My backside barely touched the chair when I was called. So far so good with the new lenses 🤞🤞 I was quite impressed with the managers phone call…..talk about grovelling. I bet I get another survey to complete 😂😂
I did a bit of shopping as we’d parked in Tesco carpark. We’re having a bit of a party at Knit and natter tomorrow and I’d said I’ll make some sausage rolls so I wanted some puff pasty.
I’m sorry about your friend Beanie….thankfully it looks as though they’ve caught my friend’s early 🤞

Friend was a day case for a mastectomy 😯😯😯 she seemed fine last night but was still full of drugs from the surgery. I’m presuming the district nurses will be going out to her. That seems very quick to be back at home, but I suppose it’s better to be in your own home.
Dh got a too good to go bag this morning £2.99 - a packet of 4 sausage rolls, 3 unnamed ‘bakes’, a baguette with salad and not sure what else, 3 chocolate doughnuts, 2 jam doughnuts, a ring doughnuts, 2 gingerbread men from Greggs. I’ve got no chance of loosing weight 🥴
I’ve finally got around to putting a claim in for my glasses and teeth so hopefully I should get about £150 to offset the £500 I’ve paid out.
I should have gone out for breakfast this morning but cancelled. It’s quite a walk from the train or tram stations and I wanted to take it easy and not overdo walking on my hip. I have been doing things but I don’t want to push it. So that was best part of £20 saved.
ive just made a cake and some sausage rolls (mine are definitely better than Greggs 😂😂) to take to knit and natter tonight….i believe there will be Bailey’s and hot chocolate and mince pies too 🎄🎅🏼😀
Mmmmmm- just watched The Strictly Results show from weekend. It was unexpected but I’ve got to admit I’m happy with it…..don’t want to say too much in case others haven’t seen it yet.
