I’ve just been around to my friends for lunch. It’s that horrible time when nothing can be done as you’re waiting for the funeral. It’s still not real.We had a little glass of Prosecco in his name 🥂and I could happily nod off for a snooze. I want to have a tidy around though so no snooze for me.
I’ve just cancelled a meal out tomorrow as I think I need to listen to my body and chill. I know I’d have had a lovely time with old friends for our Christmas meet up. But I need to take a step back as I’m still coughing, wheezing and getting my head around the events of the last week or so.January spends - £587.583 -

Your body still needs rest in order to heal, plus you don't want anyone to pick up any lingering germs. What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?1

Yep, good plan to take a step back and rest - remember that while your body's been fighting off the chest infection, mentally you have also had a lot to deal with as well.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Take it easy Milann.
You need plenty of rest and relaxation. And don't forget to keep those fluid levels topped up.0 -
Thanks folks. I think things have caught up with me today. I’ve had a bit of a pottering job and chilling day. I’d have liked to marzipan my Christmas cakes but that didn’t happen. It will be a bitter sweet event doing my cakes this year as I was making a special one for my friends family as they’d planned an extra special Christmas…..just in case. I’m gutted he didn’t make it. I’ll still do the cake as they’re having a celebration of his life, as he would have wanted his grandkids to have a lovely Christmas 😢
It’s really strange…I’m still really wheezy especially when I’m lying down at night but there is no infection anymore and it’s not producing gunk. Everything just feels strained - can’t think of any other way to describe it. I’m sleeping surprisingly well but waking up tired. On a plus no cash has been spent 👍
I think my job for tomorrow is get all the presents out and assess what I’ve got and what I need to get. I might even write a Christmas card list, although I’m only sending a couple this year. The cost of stamps have got ridiculous.January spends - £587.581 -
Yes, I have cut down a lot on Christmas cards this year.I am a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Mortgage Free Wannabe & Local Money Saving Scotland & Disability Money Matters. I know Beanie…..a card that costs a couple of pence (well mine do 😂😂) then over £1 to post...I’m not even sure how much a stamp is now. There will be a couple of long distance ones I’ll send but otherwise I’ll phone or message folk. I used to send about 50 in the post. Afraid those days have gone.January spends - £587.581

Royal Mail are going to price themselves out of business with the cost of stamps 😡 I don’t know what they’re thinking of! So sad that they’re killing off sending Christmas cards.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)0
