There is a danger in having the ability to do jobs, when that comes with lack of time to do them. My friend ended up leaving her husband because after 10 years of living in a house with no carpets downstairs, she'd had enough. He wanted to bury the radiator pipes in the floor, as the surface mounted pipes which were there annoyed him. However being a builder, he was always doing jobs for other people and never got around to sorting his own home and his wife's wants. She wasn't bothered about the pipes, she just wanted to be able to invite people round. It was sad. Neither of them moved on to relationships with other people and he passed away a couple of years ago. They'd been together for years before they married, but hadn't lived together. They never divorced. It can be better to delegate jobs to someone else to get them finished, and earn money with your own skillset to pay for that work.Make £2025 in 2025

So many people on here have really helped, and I also loved the comment from @daisy_1571 that there will be time to learn when everything is running smoothly. For some reason that had never actually occurred to me, I was thinking I have to get it all sorted "now" but of course there is time in the future to learn. For now I can just put one foot in front of the other and do what I need to here and there.
I too have a 'now' bias - but that can be exhausting. Putting one foot in front of the other - will eventually get you where you need to be.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

@Slinky that is a sad tale.
Had a lovely evening yesterday, 5 women, pizza, salad and a glass of wine or fizz (I took a bottle of Prosecco purchased with the money I gained from selling the sundial). Lots of laughter and gossip. Just what was needed.
Had the weirdest dream about the bathroom renovation, the builder redesigned the room and put in the smallest shower imaginable but managed to fit in a bath, dining table, sideboard and all the usual stuff plus two washbasins. I kept saying I wanted a larger shower but he wouldn't listen as all the other stuff was in place. Clearly doing up the house is on my mind - as is my weight gain as I was worried about the size of the shower and fitting inHave woken up to sun. Planning on finishing the work from yesterday that didn't get done, have an online AGM to attend for a charity I'm a director of and then try to finish the course.
The course hit a hurdle and I felt very down so just shelved it but a customer gave me a bit of a talking to and I'm back on it now!

Good luck with the course.
I had weird dreams last night - that I had volunteered for redundancy which I absolutely don't want. It's not nice when weird dreams afflict us out of nowhere so I feel you.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

The marble panels are in and I love them, it has made the room so much brighter and clean looking. The plan had been for him to work both Saturday and Sunday but when he arrived yesterday he asked where I had put the furniture and I stood there looking baffled and a few hasty calls were made. The shower tray and all the other "stuff" should have arrived at mine on Thursday or Friday but had been "delayed" and he had not been told. Anyway the panels are in and he will be back next weekend hopefully.
Work on course going well but took this morning off to ride with my pal down the road and then "date night" which was really a morning date with the VNM for breakfast at the local pub and hotel. Lovely full English, pot of tea and toast and I am now back to the office. Going out for breakfast is an absolute joy of mine, nice food, nice company and relaxing without any desire to drink the wine I'm cutting back on. We were going to order more tea/coffee and sit a bit longer but I'm determined to get this course material finished this weekend so I left to come back to my office and will now start work (again)

I love the idea of a breakfast date.
Good luck with the course.
Eek on the bathroom items not having arrived - but at least what he's done so far is good.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Fingers crossed for your bathroom stuff turning up this week.It took our supplier 4 attempts to send us a toilet pan that wasn't broken. The first was chipped, the second was distinctly broken, the third was a box of bits so small you'd be hard pressed to know what it started out as. Finally they got their supplier to ship directly to us as the third party carrier seemed incapable of a safe delivery. To be fair, there was literally no padding in the box to keep it safe. It was just a normal weight cardboard box with the pan in it. In an attempt to be environmentally friendly and reduce packaging, there were 3 wasted pans that had been transported from the UAE.Make £2025 in 2025

Feeling accomplished but a bit daunted The course is about 10 hours long, all the slides are done but some need the illustrations improved or re-done or added. Rather than struggle to do that I've put the aside for the new virtual PA to deal with. I was approved a while ago as a CPD provider to the profession so now I've uploaded the information to get CPD accreditation from the professional body for the course (should hear in 5 working days so probably after Easter) and I have opened an account with the platform the PA suggested I use. There is on other professional body to apply for CPD accreditation from and I will fill in the form next week as really tired now.
Virtual PA not working for compassionate reasons at moment so not sure when we will launch it as I really have no idea what or how to do the next steps but the platform I'm using has sent through some videos which I'll plan and watching tomorrow.
I've settled on a sales price for the beta version, a test run and I have a price in mind for the full course once it is running and now just have to start working through the disorganised tangle of emails to find the ones from people who were interested in doing the beta course. Again that can wait until next week.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
