The back story was she had posted me some things from a previous house and said they were moving that day.. No forwarding address so she clearly did not intend any contact. That day it would have been obvious to her husband that the group I was with were well known in the cafe (we spent a lot of time in there back then, less so now) and they use a lot of the village shops so I think, knowing sister, reaching out and saying hello was probably better than being in the same cafe when we had not spoken in many years and, knowing her husband, he would have encouraged that on the basis it would have been easier. (I had not noticed him that day, and probably wouldn't have but a large female group are hard to miss in the tiny cafe, and I was late for the lunch so they cheered when I arrived - everyone in the cafe saw me LOLOL)daisy_1571 said:awe poor wd, he's been through it recently 😢
I saw this elsewhere I think she reached out because her husband saw me with my girlfriends in a local coffee shop and she had to as they had just moved to a village a little way away and I was going to say that I don't see that as a 'had to' at all. Whether she was in Australia or next door she still decided to reach out ??? Hope it worked out xxxx
It has worked out ok, I see her a few times a year and it is nice. Better to chat to her than forever wonder where she is and how she is.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Vaccinations done, Charming Cob given a clear bill of health on the asthma so that was a £490 bill well spent. Most Handsome decided the needle was huge and excited the stable promptly, I laughed, recaught him and told vet to vaccinate outside while I distracted him. Easily done. Yet to get the bill for the vaccinations but think it should be about £60 for them both.
WattyDog finally has admitted he feels miserable being ill. It is pouring with rain and it is indeed miserable. He does not want to go for a walk, so had a few treats and I told him the iron pills will work and he will feel a little brighter soon.
I have an osteopath appointment and a counselling appointment. Getting and keeping us healthy is a costly lark these days.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Hope things work out at some point Daisy. Families indeed.
Osteopath cancelled so a slight saving as moved to next month. Counselling insightful.
The joy of the day, WattyDog clearly feeling better, stomach problems cleared up.
Am still tackling the stress list, some things on it are just being put in the diary for other times others dealt with. Half an hour on the phone and finally a payment that I had made was 'found' and credited to my account. No apology for the letter threatening to suspend service even though they admitted they had had the payment in October. Argh. Still dealt with and off the list, and the almost £300 returned to my account.

Are you going to ask for a goodwill payment @Watty1?! I guess Wattydog improving also helps your health? Love Humdinger xx

Good to hear Wattydog is feeling better! Also that the vaccinations are done, counselling was progress and you have your £300 back.
I hope you are feeling okay despite not having your osteopath appointment? Keeping on tackling the stress list is very impressive. You inspire me to do some of the things I'm putting off.

I didn't think of a goodwill payment @Humdinger1 I was just relieved it was sorted and could be crossed off the list.
The osteopath is really just a keeping on top of things now, so I am fine with pushing it into next month so all good. The snowdrop chat on other threads inspired me to get outside for a little and dosome serious weeding around the spring bulbs patch. It has been wrecked by an enthusiastic mole and then the weeds seem to have taken over since last autumn. WattyDog came and helped and I just laughed so much, he wanted to play ball, and has clearly decided Sundays emergency appointment is in the past and he is better. He was such a nuisance with his rugby ball that very little weeding actually got done but seeming him run around and play and his joy at the whole weeding time was just so good for me!
In financial news I have set up a payment to go to the credit card tomorrow and will review again when that is done, but £3198 should clear tomorrow.
