Pet insurance documents located and I'm thankful PPH kept it up as after the troubles with CC and MH I might have cancelled it. I've only been paying it for 8 months but WattyDog is covered for £3000 vet bills so will call the insurance company today and explain about neurology appointment. The referral centre have said they will fill in all the forms etc for £50 and whilst I'm can do it, I'm going to let them. CC's forms for last claim, and then the insurance company were so stressful that I would like someone just to take care of it,Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Watty1 said:Thanks Alchemilla. Its cleaner day, I'm just relieved she is not coming, and, have had a message from the agency owner to say they have fired her as she was not a good fit for her business. I briefly felt bad as I was honest about her, but, then the VNM told me more of what she said and I realised I need to trust my instincts more and should have said a while ago she was just not a good fit for me. Instinctively I felt that but the agency said there was no one else and that they had found her excellent.
A lesson for me, I have good instincts, listen to them. Interestingly putting that there reminds me of two previous bosses who both said they would go with my instinct because they trusted I had a good sense of people. PPH clearly being the exception.4 -
Just catching up. I am so sorry that Wattydog is not feeling great. This is what happened to my FLD for about a year before I made my decision to PTS. He was in and out of the vets and they didn't know what was up, aside from, 'he's very old'. It is heartbreaking when they slow down to the point we can see they have suddenly aged so much in such a short amount of time. Big hugs to you.
Ref the cleaner- well done for firing her and also giving feedback...most wouldn't!MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. I fired my cleaner after I deliberately put out 3 new toilet brushes before she arrived, and not one was used. I felt a bit sorry for her as she was an older lady and it was fairly obvious neither she or her husband had much money and were living in rented accommodation past normal retirement age, but she seemed more interested in interacting with my cat than cleaning the house.

Neurologist yesterday for WattyDog. Go back today for the MRI. Have had an email from the insurance company to say they are covering the costs for this so all good financially.
Almost unable to take in how much WattyDog has gone down hill in the last week. I spend a lot of time with him now just being together. I've apologised for the past, PPH ruined any relationship with WattyDog even before I left PPH and I struggled to cope with WattyDog when PPH just left him behind without a care.
But that is OK. I did the best I could at the time. And I'm doing the best I can now for my dog. Hopefully today the MRI will show up what is actually wrong rather than this exhausting "may be" list.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

@Watty1, dogs are totally forgiving. They live in the moment, and Wattydog knows that he's loved. Is this part of shedding PPH - you have done and continue to do brilliantly. Standing by for news love Humdinger xx4

You have loved WattyDog and he has loved you. It just took a bit of adjusting initially when PPH moved on. Ultimately that love, is what matters in this relationship with WattyDog.Hope the MRI throws up some news that leads to some good care for him x

I did the same, spent time giving many cuddles and chatting to my little dog, I'm sure he understood. Sending hugs I know it's awful when you've got no answers and are waiting to know what to do. 🫂MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. many more hugs from this neck of the woods, belive me you did everything possible for wattydog taking into account pph and the awful way he treated you both, turning up when he liked, dropping wattydog off whenever it suited him and giving you no warning etc. Even when you had very little physical, mental and emotional excess to give to yourself you made sure he was being walked and fed and in a dogs world thats just fine. He was always a handful and was extra stress way back then but you've both come such a long way since then and he will know how much you love him.
I'm sorry to say but gsds are a pain in the heart, they often go around 8, they aren't the robust, healthy big dogs one would assume they would be, prone to tummy issues, sensitive skin issues, emotional issues that affect their skin and tummy, neurological issues affecting their back ends, joint problems...I could go on. Anyway, having had the daisy household devastated by the loss of one of the best gsds ever to walk this green earth we then went on to have short times with another 2 gsds so well aware of what good dogs they truly are. Should this be untreatable for wattydog (and of course it might be completely treatable, he might perk up once its cooler) you can definitely know you did the best for him and he has been so happy with you these last couple of years. Sometimes something that strikes quickly is best as its so very sad when there's a long slow lingering issue that takes so much from them in final years.
We truly forget what little short lives they have but they bring such joy to the everyday, keep loving him and let us know when you get any answers
Daisy xxxx
