In trying to look after myself today I took my morning coffee to sit in the sun and the bench collapsed under me. All the benches here are now quite rotten (no wonder PPH left them behind). I came inside to find a post on the village face book page offering a table and 2 chairs FOC although a donation to the village charity shop was required so I quickly posted saying I would love them Well it turned out we had horse friends in common so I was offered them so popped around to pick up on my horsebox this afternoon.
Such a lovely lady. We had such a giggle and the table and chairs are quite fab. They do need a coat of paint at some time but what a great gift. (I regularly pop in the charity shop and know the ladies in there so I will make a donation happily).

Bad morning again this morning. The last few days have really made me think about what next for me. There are some lovely moments, like coffee in the sun, meeting someone new and laughing and chatting, collecting the free furniture, Charming Cob being well enough to continue being lightly ridden and I balance that against the mental health issues I am struggling with and I know I need to come up with some kind of a plan for more of the good stuff.
Did my meditation this morning, have taken vitamins, am using my sun lamp as the office is dark and have made sure I took my meds.
Workwise stock has finally cleared customs and arrived at my door, I need to plan my first lecture for next week and tackle an overflowing in-box. New person has been set to un-packing whilst I clear emails.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Are you sleeping okay? That's the only thing that's coming to mind, though of course it's a treatment more than a cause and easier said than done. And does the VNM have any insights?
Sending hugs.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Personally, I would get rid of all those rotting benches. As each one fails it will trigger unpleasant memories of that horrible man. I think Faceache marketplace to look for some of your own might help, and if you are thinking about that person retiring... well it's because he is not well and all the poison in him is poisoning his health. I popped round the lanes on CC yesterday afternoon and went pass a place that cuts timber to make timber framed buildings etc. I was going to pop in but we were short for time and I'm not sure about visiting whilst on CC (isn't that a bit odd? He wont mind machinery but others might mind him). Next week I'm going to pop in and ask them to cut wood for the metal bench ends and I've some Raspberry metal paint for the ends so that bench can be remade and being a bright pink colour will be quite different to the one he left behind

Watty1 said:A miracle has happened. Charming Cob and I went to the vet today for his last painkiller and anti-inflammatory and the vet saw him trot and declared him "sound enough to pass a vetting"
We then had a chat. CC will never "get better" but he is well enough to do hacking a few times a week. I cried most of the way home but with joy and relief. And hope you didn’t bruise your behind with the collapsing bench !DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

I love that you are going to revamp the metal bench ends in raspberry pink! Suffolk_lass makes a very good point, but they will now be a reminder that this is your territory and your vibe.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
