That's amazing progress @Watty1, and that ISA will grow.
Let us know if there's anything you find particularly useful in the Inventory: I tried to make once once and was completely overwhelmed - but I suppose this is about where you bank, what insurance you have, who the vet is rather than details of everything on in all the drawers/shelves.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. It was actually very easy to fill in. I'm going to add sections as I think of them, so family relationships will be one and one for Pets (inspired by the Age UK lifebook).
I think if I do it overtime it will not be overwhelming.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

I have a full boxfile of stuff for DS labelled "what to do if I can't". It has the deeds & the leasehold purchase, a copy of my will, both POAs, printout of the spreadsheet showing where the money is, which I try to remember to update regularly. Another showing where the money goes, rates etc. At the moment he seems totally disinterested in family history but once I am not here that could change so some of that is there too. Originally I just started with the basics as I needed somewhere to put the deeds etc then just added stuff as time passed.

I’ve been slowly working on a similar list of accounts etc over the past few months after I ended up in hospital for a bit earlier this year and realised that nobody would know where to even start with my affairs, especially now so much paperwork for account opening etc is online only.I’m planning to add a section on people to notify, I have a few different friend groups from different parts of my life scattered all over the place and I don’t use social media.Debt at LBM (Dec 2018): £23,167
Debt free Feb 20217 -
It was when I realised that none of my accounts from council tax etc to bank accounts came through the post, that I realised not just that no one would know what the accounts were but also would have no way to access them.

Thank you @Watty1, that's a very useful list. I've sent DH a copy as I think it's something we'll find useful and, as you've hinted, it's not impossibly long.
I also really like @badmemory's idea of a 'What to do if I can't' file.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I’ve just been watching Martin Lewis talk about POA (can’t sleep) and came on here to read a few diaries and came across this. Taking it as a sign to get my house in order!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

@astrocytic_kitten I really like the people to notify list too. I will add that.
We have really struggled with VNM mother people. There are 5 address books of varying ages and helpfulness plus her ipad and still he thinks we have not found the latest one. I have a feeling I might have moved it when I cleared space in the living room for her bed but I'm not sure as I was careful to keep stuff she might need together and we have an address book from there. We also found the actual will last night. That was in a bag under the bed (of course it was).
He is now struggling a lot with this as he feels he is not doing "the right thing" by her at all. I have counselled getting a solicitor on board to sort out the paperwork and accounts asap as whilst I can do and did for PPH father until that all went pear shaped I feel as though I need to be so careful and I don't really want to. With PPH father I cleared and sorted as I went but neither him or his daughter want to touch anything or throw anything away and I had not realised how the mess makes me feel until we found the will yesterday evening. I mean who hides wills under their bed in a bag. At least the bag was marked "stuff that will not fit in my briefcase".Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

It sounds like she was probably quite confused for a long time before it all kicked off.For some people grief shows up like that, they feel like the person is still with them if they consider their wishes.4
