What a lovely memory, and glad PPH didnt get his hands on them.
Hope your horses appreciated your brave actions.DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

How very very lovely *big hugs*
And what a delightful 'then and now' from having to hide bedding from your grandmother of all things from PPH, to having someone in your life who you trust to go rummage and retrieve it ❤️

The bedding will go through the washing machine later today, and I'm looking forward to seeing it back out in the spare room. The room has a very old sofa my mum bought for her dog (from Harrods no less, she was not of the MSE frame of mind) that I had recovered some years ago. I will probably sleep in there happily sometimes.
Then the throw will go on the other spare room bed with the bears.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

I think that is so lovely the change between the two. It is fantastic to have someone you trust and can just be you with. I spent some time with a friend on Saturday she is so different when her much younger husband is around. She spends all her time making sure he is happy (he never looks happy when with us) and it means she cannot relax. I am so glad you are out on the other side, I have been there with a PPH (well he wasn't one to start with but became one). Enjoy your "new" rooms sounds like the house is really becoming yours.Save £12k in 25 No 49

All aspects of the business phone system are working again. Hurrah! Refund needs dealing with but the last chap I spoke to suggested I leave it as someone might call me to resolve. I'm not really expecting that to happen but I need to concentrate on other matters so will leave that for now.
I spent another half an hour on the phone to the car insurance company to ask why they had taken a premium for a car that they are handling the "total loss claim" and that is SORN and has no MOT. Only to find that is a different department and they will refund me, after a few harsh words they accepted they would also refund the £25 amendment fee as it was their error! The argument for them keeping the £25 was that I might have decided to keep it and insure it anyway (???)
Then spoke to the total loss department which was another hour, but, result. They have refunded the £300 recovery fee which I sent straight to the VNM and they have paid out on the car. Again harsh words were said as they wanted the V5 emailed - pointed out I had done that last week - they asked for it again so I said I was at work and it was a delaying tactic and they have waited over 2 months to pay out and were there industry standards? Must have struck a chord because the money was finally in my account this afternoon. Have moved it to savings. The car still has to be recovered but honestly I am past caring about that bit as it is just on the drive and not really in the way.
I am left wondering how people manage life admin and work, I would be exasperated if an employee had spent to long on the phone in work time! (Note to self, be an understanding boss when new person starts).

Well done for another battle won. I reckon they owe you for work time lost, an unnecessary phone bill and loss of interest on the money, too. But absolutely well done for sticking to your guns, I'm not sure I'd have coped.
