Some electricians can sort out phone/internet issues. If you have a good one it's worth asking. I've flood-wired my last two houses for ethernet twice now, and will be doing this one in the NY - we always manage to improve the performance of my broadband at the same time.4

did something similar after Covid outside for my birthday - instead of elegantly sitting in a wine bar my friends and I giggled in a London square with far too much wine .. one got stuck in the bushes !Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!9 -
The wiring chat is beyond me.
I'm still not quite sure what I've been sold but am clearly aware I have "stuff" I don't need. I'll sort out getting the bill adjusted when everything is finally working (just the internet answering service to go).
The storm is raging outside. Really difficult to even muck out today. The horses were being threatened by a bucket blowing around the yard this morning. Apparently a bucket capable of moving alone in a gale is terrifying and all three had their eyes out on stalks and were snorting at it. Fearlessly I approached the bucket and grabbed it and wrestled it into the haybarn. All 3 were relieved when I appeared unscathed and handed out breakfasts.
The horses have gone to the field and I have returned to the office to deal with the "to do" list.

I have spent the day "at work" stopping only for a mid afternoon sit down and cup of tea and 30 mins of TV and this morning to put a stew in the slow cooker for dinner this evening. The VNM was tasked with finding decorations from the loft and finding a bag with the bedding that my grandmother bought me when I decorated my first house. I knew I had hidden it in the loft to stop PPH from using it or whatever he might have done with it.
The VNM found it and bought it into my office and I broke down in tears. There was the bedding, a throw I had bought on a Welsh holiday with my mother and grandmother some 30 years ago and a couple of old teddy bears. I felt like part of my life had been returned to me.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
