She is going to bleed him dry & you are going to be forced to watch it happen. Does he have POA for his mother because if so it may be a good idea to remind him of his responsibilities.Fantastic about the webinar.5

The PoA for health confirmed this week but the financial one had a signing in the wrong order but that will come through eventually. Only has them "in progress" because I had one of my "you have to be kidding me" scenes and then said I would not stand by and watch the chaos that would unfold without. I then downloaded all the paperwork and took it with me on a visit. The old lady and a former lodger who pops up like an errant daughter from time to time attempted to stand by the fact one was not needed but the VNM firmly instructed by me on the horrors that would unfold without stood his ground. The errant daughter had to be involved but by that point I didn't care who signed the things so long as they were signed so was polite and firm and the VNM was resolute.
It has actually focused my mind on my own PoA and getting one sorted out. I am thinking of asking my sister to be one for health as I do trust, although I am not that close to her, that she really would have my best interests at heart regardless. The financial one she might find too stressful. Thinking about this makes me wonder what will happen with the relationship with the VNM and so I shall put this to one side for now but return to it. Anything could happen, I am a single lady with 5 animals and a large house and although I have a will, I need a plan for unforeseen possibilities I think. Reading these diaries on here has made me aware that life happens and just because I still think I am in my late 20s and invincible that really is not the case on either front.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Lovely morning. WattyDog and I went to a local scarecrow festival. The scarecrows are made by locals and put up around the village green and you vote for your favourite. The one that with the most votes then goes to a bigger scarecrow festival somewhere. Nice walk, found the scarecrows then cup of tea and cake and vote in the village hall. WattyDog allowed a vote as well so we both voted for "Dorothy and Toto" scarecrow who was excellent but actually had her dog with her so we decided that beat the Tom Baker one! Nice cheap relaxing morning and now back at work.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Off to google "advanced directive"
I seem to be doing lots of non work sitting at my deskbut I have made a financial plan for the rest of this tax year. It is ambitious, includes adding more to my pension and I have set target earnings from my business to the end of March.

I have a copy of my sister's but my son is my POA for both health & finance so I hope that will be enough. They are both clear on what I want.

DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Another night I couldn't sleep. This one prompted by two glasses of wine with the VNM. Now off for a lovely natter with neighbour with our horses. Charming Cob and her horse get on very well and the sun is shining. Then later today I plan on finishing the prep for Wednesdays course delivery and checking the business bank accounts.
If time I want to make a big pot of lentil soup to use up some lentils and then curry for dinner with naan using up some of the flour.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Hope the ride out in the sunshine was restorative and if you get to the soup, that it’s tasty 😋
