Thank you @KajiKita and @Brewerspride I really did feel more on top and confident than I have for a long time. Still feel like i am pushing against a tide a lot of the time but I actually think I am succeeding.
Reading on another diary I was reminded of the Watty who I used to be confidently driving once a month to France to shop (I had free cross channel travel) with my mum and step dad and was a little sad to see how another part of me was lost whilst with the ex. Teaching the course has been therapeutic in some ways as I am growing back into someone with belief in self. Sorry if that sounds a bit self indulgent but I feel I am changing, and, for the good.
Collected the jumps and poles last night with the VNM. I asked him to come because the horsebox was needed to collect them and the place was down a very steep hill that is mostly single track and I didn't feel up to doing that in the horsebox and in the dark. Whilst out I realised the horsebox does not have a working reversing light - but the VNM has said he will at some point fix that and put additional lights on the back like the ones on his work van so not only will I have really good lights for reversing but lights if I need to work with a horse in the dark. He did say no idea when but he has it in mind, but at the moment his mum is taking up all his time. Fair enough.
The jumps are a bit of leap of faith as Charming Cob may still need to be retired but I'm still trying to push that thought to one side for now whilst I see what happens this winter.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Watty reading that about the self confidence I thought of the Upfront Movement as I did their chaity bond last year. It is all about women's confidence and how we should also support other women. The founder is doing one for small business here is the link . The 5 weeks I did last December still has positive impact on me nearly a year later.
The jumps sounds fun and VNM does too less so his family but you seem to be coping so well I am not sure I could keep quiet.Save £12k in 25 No 49

Becoming again the you you used to be is not by the broadest stretch of the imagination self indulgent. It only proves the damage the wrong people can do to us.

have fun with your poles ! Did you get some new sign ups after your webinar ? Hopefully loads !Sorry to hear re VnM mum - that inevitable stage of life is so hard, and watching people age dramatically with illness etc is sad. Still every day we live is a precious giftDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

It will take a while I think for the webinar to translate into business but it feels positive to me. Work is going well. I can support myself, and genuinely so, I do work hard but it is paying off.
1st of the Month. I transferred the £200 into my regular savings account and that now is £600 which made me happy.
The household account got its monthly boost from my current account and that with its linked savings account can cover the bills for this month and between 3 and 4 other months at current expenditure so this gives me the cushion I had been wanting to achieve. (Ultimate goal is to have a year's worth stashed of bills covered in the savings pot)
I checked the value of my pension pot too and did a bit of pottering around the web. Ok, my retirement income is not on target to be what it would have been if I had not left the ex - but - it is on target to give me a reasonable income and one I genuinely believe I will manage on if I am frugal. A few more years hard work and all will be well.
During the financial wrangling I had an Indian meal with a girlfriend I do not see often and mentioned I had no money due to the ex but at least I had a house. Her response was joyful - "well you will just have to earn some more money then won't you" We laughed and I genuinely think I am well on the way doing just that.

Glad you already at the ‘I will survive if I am frugal’ stage - and have the motivation and skills to earn more to make life even more funDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
