You have a lot of completely justified crying to catch up with from years of horribleness, so if you need to take a few days every now and then to get a batch of crying done, you do that.
Is your bedroom space ready to be a haven for you even if you can't nod off as quickly or well as you'd like? If you can muster the energy for clean sheets do that, and remove any clutter (even if that does just involve turfing it into another room), have some nice book options next to the bed, a favourite lamp or safe candle, that sort of thing.
You'll feel better soon, I promise. You're being perfectly normal and healthy in feeling rubbish!10 -
I feel you Watty. I've had hours at a time where I've cried my eyes out too and other times when I've desperately wanted to cry and been unable to but felt it like it was held by a flimsy dam inside. I'm on meds and have regular counselling which I increase the frequency of when struggling like now - and reduce when I'm doing better.
What I'm trying to say is how you feel is valid and understandable given what you've gone through. I think your VNM's Mum plus the Ex's recent contact have probably both been triggers. Really hope you get to speak to a GP and ideally a counsellor soon and get to offload some of how you feel and process it to reduce it's future impact.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
