Adore liver onion and bacon, my DS who eats pretty much everything won’t eat the liver but adores the thick gravy so in effect gets some of the goodies from it.

When you had your blood tests, did they explore your levels of magnesium (zinc, and potassium)? as a magnesium supplement is what I have Mr Sl, to counteract daytime tiredness

Have read the pate comments, and, the butcher might make some on site, I will check.  They make their own pies etc using pastry made for them by a baker in a nearby town so I will ask them.   I want to make the effort to visit to get some bones for WattyDog.

I don't really know why I thought about making my own, except I have in the past.  I was so shattered when I did the online food shop I bought cat food, a few cleaning bits and then ordered some meal kits so we were good for the bank holiday weekend.   I have ideas but lack the capacity to follow through just now.

As for blood tests, I did have thyroid checked and am going to email the results to the private doctor who prescribes my HRT   I know I could get on the NHS but a male GP refused to prescribe because he did "not believe in it"   I was so incensed I marched out, interviewed google and sought a private clinic that specialises.  The surgery has since apologised to me for their behaviour, reviewed my prescription and said it was actually a vast improvement on the NHS options and if I could afford it to continue with the private one, but, if I wanted to save money, they would prescribe.   

Private doctor did question thyroid function when prescription was last checked and wanted a genetic test for thyroid so I'll email her and see if that is back and send over test results as tbh I don't have a lot of faith in my GP surgery   GP does do a thyroid blood test once a year but getting the results out of them to check them is an uphill battle and I'm not even sure that they look at them as private hormone doc had to write to them to tell them to up dose of thyroxine a couple of years ago when I wrestled test results from them and sent to her to look at.

(Have added magnesium supplement as yes, was tested but was a low end of reference range and I think at this point anything is worth trying until appointment in a couple of weeks)

I use a magnesium body lotion at night to help me sleep (I can normally pick it up from TK Maxx Quite cheaply) 

can you not check your results in your nhs app ? Mine has all my blood tests from years ago, so good to compare and see if there’s a pattern.

We have thyroxine deficiencies in my family - it seems like three different manifestations among four people so my sister's solution may be worth enquiring into. Hers is now treated as an iodine deficiency, which on a world-wide scale is apparently very common. My sister's diet is limited, which may have contributed to her deficiency, I don't know. Normally the British diet gives enough iodine, but it could be worth asking for your levels to be tested. Don't just supplement, as that can cause problems in itself. Another item for your list, sorry.

I hope today is less tiring.

If you have the NHS app you should be able to find all your results in there. Although I have to admit that wasn't the case with my old surgery, but it is now. While I don't get the nice graph my GP has, I can at least look back and see whether I can spot trends/anomalies and if I do I can then manually transfer the data elsewhere to look into it properly.

Just curious, in what way was the private prescription 'a vast improvement on the NHS options'?
