I came home with a pair of 1950s earrings and a galvanised bucket with the Great Western Railway logo on. ....

The bucket is to be used as a planter on the patio. I have a few galvanised buckets and they withstand WattyDog better than the usual garden planter.  This one makes me smile every time I see it and after a haggle I got it for £6.
i think purchases you smile at every time you see them, are always worth the money.
Sorry re the friend stirring memories, maybe see them in black and white and then shrink them away like an old forever gone movie.

Nice pb win, I am averaging less than you this year!
Hope the cat gets rehomed easily

I did wonder catching up with the diary if we were about to live thru your new moving diary, at least you had a heads up about whats next to do on the list

I am actually really enjoying no MW(NO)P in my life, I have more space, there was no awfulness but dealing with him and his own issues, I am enjoying the time and space back!

No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

  • You msut have made an huge improvement in the look and feel of the place, just harder to recognise when one is in the middle of it - always seems so much more to do.

My bedroom is looking the best it has in years as is the study - but I can still see the things that I still need to go through. I cant buy a home now as I am definitely not declutter/death cleaned enough to move.
