nimbo said:Hi all,
I hope the new year brings about some positivity for all. XxxxxxI’ve been off the boil for what seems like ages.I am hoping to jump back on the band waggon. I’ll be counting things made, decorated and destashed. I have a spare room I can barely move in a garage of things and masses of ‘stuff’ knocking about the house. I need to do something as I basically cannot move.I’ve just decorated my bedroom and need a new curtain pole. I’ll allow myself essential spends such as this but will be doing what I can to avoid any money being spent. (I won’t manage this - but it’s the overall aim).I hope you all manage some rnr and crafting.Target 150.
2023 was a nightmare year for me but I'm determined that 2024 will be much better
Well done on your aim. I'm hoping that I might actually stick to my no spending this year too. Don't think I will but I have good intentions

I have lots of wips around my house.
After I made the Birthday card this morning - I was inspired to do more crafting so I finished one of my wips - 18 beaded pens. All the ones I made before Christmas sold to raise funds for my SA corps. I am hoping these will sell for Mothering Sunday/Birthday gifts.
I had to use a small table to work on as my craft one is covered in stuff!Mortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.02 Stash Busting Challenge 2024 Lost count but no craft spending6 -

I’m a knitter and cross stitcher, with rather a lot of unfinished projects and quite a large stash. My plan this year is to try to either finish or frog all my current wip’s and try to reduce my stash. I’ll aim for 12 projects completed this year, not counting those I frog.
I also plan not to spend on supplies this year, with the possible exception of knitting patterns to use up my stash. Hopefully that is doable!
Don't worry you are certainly not alone with having a large stash and lots of unfinished projects. In fact you will fit right in.
I cannot wait to see all your creations.

greentiger said:Hello, @craftingmad, I'll be back again this year please, As usual, I'm not setting any number targets, other than to get rid of some stuff. I will try to stick to a limit of £15 per month, hopefully to use for tools and necessary finishings.
I posted my final 2023 makes in the 2023 thread.
It's great to see old friends and new faces here. Good luck everyone.
My January projects
* hearts for AHEART4MCR project (I did buy a wee bag of tartan scraps last year, just for this)
* crochet hat for my daughter (poor soul inherited her Dad's huge bonce and can't even find a beanie that fits!)
* some Christmas cards
All I might need to buy is ds tape and foam pads.
You were amazing in 2024 so I look forward to you cheerleading us all on again this year and cannot wait to see your makes xMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.02 Stash Busting Challenge 2024 Lost count but no craft spending8 -

I am hoping to try knitting again this year. I will master it! 😂Do you know of the Scrap stores? They are dotted all over UK. You pay a very small membership fee and then buy whatever you like for silly money. My nearest is Southampton. Pay £6 for a full years membership and then members can fill a carrier bag for £1.50, a bag for life for £2.00 or a big blue sack for only £2.50 and you can mix the contents.I know membership costs vary round the country but they are so much cheaper than Hugh Street craft stores. Would definitely keep you within budget.
I must investigate if there is another one close by.

keepcalmandcraft said:Hello all, I'd like to join again this year. I've just been adding up what I made last year and I think I managed to complete the 100 target. I'll set my target at 100 again this year and try to spend under £50 although won't include gift cards given for Christmas/birthday.
Well done on reaching your target last year. Fingers crossed that you smash it again this year.
Look forward to seeing your makes.
