Hello, @craftingmad, I'll be back again this year please, As usual, I'm not setting any number targets, other than to get rid of some stuff. I will try to stick to a limit of £15 per month, hopefully to use for tools and necessary finishings.
I posted my final 2023 makes in the 2023 thread.
It's great to see old friends and new faces here. Good luck everyone.
My January projects
* hearts for AHEART4MCR project (I did buy a wee bag of tartan scraps last year, just for this)
* crochet hat for my daughter (poor soul inherited her Dad's huge bonce and can't even find a beanie that fits!)
* some Christmas cards
All I might need to buy is ds tape and foam pads.Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/4011 -

Soontobeoap said:I would like to join again. Target 180 items. I cleared, quite a lot of my stash last year so will have to buy some bits but hope to keep spending target under £150. I am hoping to try knitting again this year. I will master it! 😂Do you know of the Scrap stores? They are dotted all over UK. You pay a very small membership fee and then buy whatever you like for silly money. My nearest is Southampton. Pay £6 for a full years membership and then members can fill a carrier bag for £1.50, a bag for life for £2.00 or a big blue sack for only £2.50 and you can mix the contents.I know membership costs vary round the country but they are so much cheaper than Hugh Street craft stores. Would definitely keep you within budget.Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

RavenRover said:Hi, I'd like to rejoin this year too please. I promise I will try and remember to actually post photos this year! I'm not going to set a target but I know I put a dent in my stash last year. Ended up with a load of card making stuff which will help me as I need to think about earning extra cash as I am expecting redundancy at some point this year, so would be interested in how useful you find Etsy @craftingmad
Don't worry. I rarely remember to post photos so you are not alone
Glad to hear you managed to put a dent in your stash last year. Lets hope you can do the same again this year.
Sorry to hear that redundancy is looming. We have just been through it with my OH. It's never nice.
Etsy is a lot of hard work to get your listings right and seen amongst the sea of other things for sale but once you have nailed the photos, keywords etc then it can be very profitable. I make around £10k a year in sales (although in previous years it has been much more so I do think the platform is on the decline slightly).
I have a code you can use to get 40 free listings if you like so you can try it risk free as you will not pay out any money unless the items sell. Give me a shout if you want any help or advice on the platform - I'm no expert but do have 8 years of trading on it under my belt so know a little bit

Auti said:Hello, will join again please. No goals of how much I will do but just use up stash a bit and try new things. At the moment I am doing a crystal art (diamond art) picture which is helping me as all my routines disappeared during Christmas. I will post picture later. Wishing all a peaceful 2024 with friends to help when life gets bumpy
That diamond painting will look amazing when it is finished - you must have the patience of a saint. I tried it once and gave up after 5 minutes as my fat fingers just kept dropping the diamonds in the wrong places
that blanket is also amazing. You are a very talented person.

2023 went downhill for me from March - not a lot of crafting done - Mr F was ill and in hospital for 12 weeks. On the day Mr F comes home by ambulance - my eldest Dd tells me she has cancer. We lost 4 members of our Salvation Army Corps and in December my youngest Dd was hit by a car. Mr F is currently black and blue after a fall on a bus which moved before he was seated.
2024 - I want to aim for 224 makes.
I started today - made a Birthday card for my youngest Dgd.
I'm so sorry to hear how awful 2023 was for you. I really wish you Dd well and hope that this year is much better.
Love that birthday card. It's beautiful xMortgage - £2338.07 paid off Feb 2023 BTL 1 £51,089.10 £35789.36 paid off July 2025 BTL 2 £81,504.52 BTL 3 £77,497.029 -
Hello all, I'd like to join again this year. I've just been adding up what I made last year and I think I managed to complete the 100 target. I'll set my target at 100 again this year and try to spend under £50 although won't include gift cards given for Christmas/birthday.Stash busting challenge 2025: 0/100 £0/£100 Fashion on the ration 2025: 0/669

betasam said:Hello,
I, too, am guilty of collecting craft stuff then not even trying to use it. I decluttered lots to the charity shop last year but have bought enough to fill the space again...
I shall set a target of 100 items.
I look forward to seeing all your makes.
BetasamI know only too well how easy it is to fill the spaces you get with more supplies but I done really well last year and hardly bought anything so am hoping for the same again this year.
Look forward to seeing your makes too.

bamboo_socks said:I've been waiting for this thread to start - please can I join? I've found th decluttering thread great for motivation.
I have a huge stack of fabric and half started projects I need to work through, because they're redundant sat in drawers and cupboards. I also got a crank knitting machine for Christmas and have a few projects in mind to use the mountains of wool I seem to have! No specific goals at the moment, just getting through the stashes.
Lets get that fabric stash busted. I cannot wait to see your makes.
the crank knitting machine sounds interesting too - looking forward to seeing your creations made from that.
